Re: Rogue

King are you gonna exchange or full on return?
Full return.
Whoa KD yours was painted by the blind man or women in the factory that day. Still have to wonder why all the delays if we're still getting inferior product.

Yeah, no kidding, I was shocked to be honest. There is no way in hell something this blatant should have made it past "quality control".

You're not alone have that problem with my reg head as well.

Fiasco :lecture

Re: Rogue

Too much of a hassel.

Oh, and the reg head doesnt even fit into the neck :monkey4

You can see the gap here, and that was with considerable force.

yup mine is the same, i might have to amend my request for a replacement. the whole statue needs to be replaced before I can even think about "fixing" anything.

You think maybe SS experimented with a cheaper Chinese factory to try to increase their bottom line ?

Re: Rogue

A lackluster compromise on their part. :(

Years after they sold out. As their big excuse was no replacement pieces. So you guys might be able to get more of a response. Tell those cross-eyed $1/hr sweatshop painters to buck up.

Doubt it was an experiment, I think its the same that was used for Spiderman, who was plagued with horrible paint apps, black smudges and poorly fitting right hands.

Re: Rogue

talked to a local guy here that can do repaints. I think it is ridiculous to pay 300 $ for this and then commision someone to fix it. I havent decided if thats the case... but I might just wait to see what SSC says. I didnt even get a complete statue, WTF is up with their quality control department. Thanks to quadacent for the tip.. I greatly appreciate it.

In peaking at threads I have seen that all too often. After awhile one has to ask, why am I paying $300 (a premium price--I mean that's a car payment basically) for a high end collectible, yet it is manufactured not to high end standards and why then would I pay someone another 100-200 to repaint it for a whopping 500. I like nicely sculpted asses as much as the next guy (or girl) but that's pretty outrageous. :slap

Re: Rogue

Wow, King!! Those are some of the worst paint jobs yet. Inexcusable!

Yeah, total ____ job.

:exactly::lecture
My sentiments precisely. If they had even an inkling that this would fly with anyone, they were so very wrong.

Sideshow is definitely not the company they were.

They like to preach about customer service, but the first thing they should be doing in serving their customers is offer them quality products.

Not offering up ____ sandwiches and saying, "oh, we know its tastes like ____, but we are more than happy to exchange it for you" :monkey4

Re: Rogue

Now the funny thing is Psylocke paint apps are going to come out near perfect, and that's what's going to keep us guessing and ordering with Sideshow.

Hard to believe a big company like Sideshow would commission a substandard Chinese factory for such a highly anticipated piece as Rogue PF..They may have saved a buck but at the risk of losing current and future customers :dunno

No way the Psylocke paint apps come out good. :monkey4

There is already a difference in the pics on the Sidehsow site and the pics from Comic Con. :lecture

:exactly: They fail miserably at one...the fervor dies down...people's memories are short and then an awesome one comes out ... people are singing SSC's praises ... repeat.

Re: Rogue

Maybe now's the time NOT to be buying female characters. Maybe they can't handle all the "curves." ;)
