Washing my hands of the exclusive.

Gonna keep an eye on the regular, if they ship with good paint apps I'll pick that up. Was never interested in the exclusive head or print anyway.

ya but thats the thing, i really wanted her to be as is since i loved the sculpt and outfit of this version of rogue. Didnt want to purchase a statue then have to redo it.

i called SS and complained about the Arsh too, to me its false adversing to show a sculpt at SSDC as a pre order and then they ship me something different. I have a glass case with mirrors in back where should would have been placed into. So thats a big problem for me. Hope SS gets back to me on this, cause this is unacceptable for the price of this item.

One more thing V.V. Do you have any problems with any of the portraits neck fitting snug into place, or do you have that same problem as most of us with the neck not fitting right and snug?

I'm not. This will be my 23rd SS piece, and it'll be the first that will be this far off from the official pics. I'm betting on not being happy with mine, but I'm still waiting for it to be delivered. So, hopefully (but doubtfully), I'll eat those words.

Either way, even if mine is fine, it is beyond ridiculous how many people are saying (and showing) that they're statue is so amateurishly painted.

Yeah, I went into the weekend wanting to keep this piece. But now Monday is here and I'm just gassed at the audacity that Sideshow is trying to lay this egg on us collectors...

mine seemed to go in ok, but i didnt even go that far, i just looked at the heads and how how the arsh was sculpted and just called SS. As much as i like this item, i may just request a replacement or a total refund. Cause at this rate, a refund will be better and just play the wait game on the secondary market for the item to drop in price due to the poor production of them.

When paying this much you shouldn't even have to think about repainting it.

If it was a DIY kit, of course, but not when you are buying in SSC's words "a museum quality statue."

Why don't all you guys get coordinated and start a list with photos (perhaps one person could head it up) and send it to Sideshow so they can't throw in your face..."we've only heard 3-5 complaints. On this board it's gotta be 15+ now that have a problem.

All I can say V.V. is, hurry up and find that house of yours, get your studio set up, so that you can save some of us here...

im trying, went house hunting this weekend. if this condo works out, i will be able to get a nice studio set up and also have a garage and get back into working on customs.

Rogue will def be on my list to start off the set up.

I'm just finding it so hard to just totally give up on her because she is by far my favorite heroines in the Marvel universe PERIOD! That's a lot of the reason that I just want to have her repainted on my own.

I'm just so torn on this one here...

You sure about that? Maybe not goggle eyed, but definitely a $10 whore with the eye paint job. Although $10 might be a tad on the high side.

@Mooncat: Setting eye shadows apart, your regular head actually looks quite good IMO. There is something odd with the EX face though

I just know that once you are done with her she'll look the way that she was suppose to when she was previewed or even better.

No, but that's why I'm so damn torn on this one here. Any other time I'm quick to return or exchange. Considering that my returns to them don't take that long and usually the problem isn't this bad, with a quality replacement being available Believe I'm having that fight between myself in doing what's right (returning for refund) or she's you favorite female character of all time and not just X-Men. I'm already doing this exchange but I have little faith that the exchange is going to be any better than the original one I received. Who knows how I'm going to feel by the time the replacement gets here and by the time my turn comes for her to be customized. ..

I think we are all there with you IL. We will have to see what Sideshow offers as options on this.

1.) Full refund, return statue
2.) Partial refund, keep statue
3.) Return for replacement
4.) Other?

As far as I am concerned, there are only two viable options, #1 or #3. #3 would be my first choice if Sideshow can make the Rogue heads look like the prototype. This would involve additional cost on their behalf which is why I think they won't do it. If they can do it, then I am willing to wait the 3+ months until new, "museum quality" painted heads arrive. Otherwise, I will be returning for a full refund.
