I totally agree with you. If these pieces have been delivered, in spite of their issues, is because SS has accepted/passed/approved them. And as such, they are the only ones to take reponsability, NOT collectors.

I don't know what everybody else thinks, but the way I see it, this is really a turning point for me. Depending on what they do to deal with the situation will determine whether I will continue buying their products or lose my faith in them forever.

I know it sounds too dramatic, but I am just soooo tired of receiving flawed pieces from them (Rogue comiquette, She-Hulk comiquette Black Cat comiquette: all with lazy eyes. Scarlet Witch: Excessive paint on the Cleavage; Dagger Comiquette: didn't fit in the base, folded prints, etc etc etc).




Many of their products are really awesome but the costs and the headaches aren't worth it anymore IMO.

Has anyone here ordered the REG & gotten the shipping soon notice, just waiting for that so I can decide on cancelling this biznatch.

I know it sounds too dramatic, but I am just soooo tired of receiving flawed pieces from them. Many of their products are really awesome but the costs and the headaches aren't worth it anymore IMO.

Doesn't sound dramatic at all. The point of having a hobby is to distract us from the headaches & problems that we have to deal with our everyday lives, not add to it.

I for one wouldn't swear off Sideshow, but would be pretty weary of what I order from them depending on how this problem is handled. But if worst comes to worst & they show that they really can't deliver, I'll just hunt for their older creations back when it wasn't so much about the money.

One thing that is important to note is that the proto's behind, was changed by request of Marvel. I knew something so drastic was not the decision of the factory but the higher up. Im not sure how much Sideshow is to be blamed.
The only thing is they showed us the rear of the proto and we all were salivating to get her this way. But what can SS do if Marvel/Disney says no?!

About all the other issues QC of factory is to be blamed. There are just a handful of the EX that look alright. Im still happy with mine, although not perfect its acceptable.
Whatever happens I will keep a close eye on this thread and try to learn from this mishap.


As far as general QC, the ARH/Sideshow Studios China factory is smaller and so far we have had a great relationship with them. Our products have been painted superbly and are stellar. When production goes about 1000+ statues at a time things like this unfortunately sometime happen, and its not necessarily the fault of Sideshow.

All that Sideshow can do is put the pressure on and or change factories.

You sure find ways to advertise anywhere.

QC is Sideshow's fault. It's their name on the box. What happens between the time I give them money, and it gets to my door, is on them. It's their fault for not hiring a decent factory, inspecting the goods, and it's their fault for intentionally withholding the rear shot on the site. That's my take on it.

What they can do is contact their customers who did a pre order and say

"marvel has decided to change the Rogue PF statue to fit their image of rogue properly, so if you would like to cancel your order and receive your $30 depost back now is the time. if this new change does not bother you, please disregard this message".

Its still a sideshow product and their responsibility to notify their customer of the change so when i open up the box excited to see what i thought i ordered be different is false advertising to me.

how hard would it have been for them to send out a email to everyone who is on the news letter list saying the rogue PF has changed due to marvel direction? 20min?

I think it is their fault once they put a QC sticker on the box of some of the Rogue PFs showed here. It is their fault shipping that same product to us! At least this is the way I feel!

SS said it'll show the new "Disney approved" of Rogue's behind "soon" on the website..only problem is they should have done that before the Rogue PF EX sold out not after..But they didn't..they just carefully hid it which was very deceptive and misleading thing to do...

For some reason the production Rogue statue was made with a less impressive backside than the prototype model. Aside from that disturbing change, this statue is still pretty amazing. The two portraits give distinctly different looks, in addition to keeping the fabric jacket on or off."

I find it difficult to think that Marvel asked SSC to change the Rogue especially when they already released a stellar Ms Marvel PF which bares her nice plum buttocks.
