Re: Rogue

so its the factories fault.

ok that might explain the slave labor wages paid to the workers , but what happend to the rest of our $279.99 ?

someone is walking around with ($279.99 * 750) = $209 992.50 in their pocket.

That dude spent it on like 6 legendary wolverines though....

The minute Sideshow puts this label on the box is the minute Sideshow puts its reputation on the line and becomes fully responsible for the overall quality of the end product

So right!

Point in case MNF or Monday Night Football.

Hank Williams spoke out of line about one of Obama's golfing pairing. And they pulled his theme Monday Night Football song off the air because of those remarks. Which has been a MNF theme song for what...20 years? Doesn't matter who's the real man behind the plan. All accolades, good or bad, goes to the name the product bares.

Re: Rogue

A possible screw up on the molding.

ya, I recall a similar issue with Black cat PF's boobs. They seem to have problem doing those really deep lines like massive cleavage or butt cracks in their mass production run. :monkey1

It's most likely more of a technical issue I'd say...

Re: Rogue

Most of these EX heads just seem like the eyes are actually too big compared to the proto.

Re: Rogue

As a consumer with hard earned money to blow, I could give a rats @ss less about "the factory did it, not SS, bla bla".

I spend my money with Sideshow and I could care less what happens in the middle, I shouldn't want, need or care to know. It's Sideshows name on the box, they are responsible. This is not blamed on slave wages, or any other excuse, it's Sideshows fault plain and simple. I also dont care about Sideshow's dealings or inability to deal with their client, Disney/Marvel. I am doing direct business with sideshow, not Disney, I dont need to hear excuses.

Agree also with the poster above that said we should have been contacted when the back end changed giving us a chance to opt out or not. I know when they decided to change Nightcrawler's skin color to a different blue, I got an email notifying me of the change and allowing me to keep my order or cancel it.

In this case they knew it was going to cause a stink so they deceived us, in the same way a child will hide something they broke because they are embarrassed. And the continued comments about "Only 3-5 people have complained" is really insulting, because they think we are too stupid to know otherwise, or they don't respect us enough to tell us the truth.

Give up your profits on this piece and call it a wash guys, get us some correctly painted statues and keep your loyal customers happy.

Re: Rogue

It's a Mike from Longbeach.

@Sebastian

Did you get someone to work on your Rogue heads yet?

The guy that does this sort of thing will be in on Saturday. ill ask then, and Ill demand a partial or acceptable refund from SSC otherwise this piece of ____ is going back.

Re: Rogue

One thing that is important to note is that the proto's behind, was changed by request of Marvel. I knew something so drastic was not the decision of the factory but the higher up. Im not sure how much Sideshow is to be blamed.
The only thing is they showed us the rear of the proto and we all were salivating to get her this way. But what can SS do if Marvel/Disney says no?!

About all the other issues QC of factory is to be blamed. There are just a handful of the EX that look alright. Im still happy with mine, although not perfect its acceptable.
Whatever happens I will keep a close eye on this thread and try to learn from this mishap.

As far as general QC, the ARH/Sideshow Studios China factory is smaller and so far we have had a great relationship with them. Our products have been painted superbly and are stellar. When production goes about 1000+ statues at a time things like this unfortunately sometime happen, and its not necessarily the fault of Sideshow.

All that Sideshow can do is put the pressure on and or change factories.

I respectfully disagree. Here are the reasons:
- It has SS's seal of QC approval.
- SS is in charge. Not the factory.

Ultimately SS is the boss and they allowed for these pieces to get to the customers. Yes, there are hundreds of pieces...but we're talking low hundreds, not thousands or millions as with typical retail toys.

At this point SS QC/QA should ensure a "CAP" (Corrective Action Plan) has been initialized at the factory AND internally at SS to ensure the problem does not re-occur.

Slightly off-topic for a moment... You guys (ARH) have some well designed statues! Nice job!

By any chance is this guy from Toronto?

Re: Rogue

the 3-5 customers is just a damage control line every company uses. They dont want to admit anything is wrong because if they do even the people that are ok" with this piece will want something. I still expect them to do something. Im not sure what that will be.

But I dont expect them to ever say that all of them are messed up. Even if they do a new run and offer to replace ours the public line will always be a minority of these needed to be replaced. Most of the rogues that were shipped were above standard.

Thank you! I appreciate it!

Most of these factories in China make everything. They make statues, they make gargoyles, toys, and frogs for Costco.
Thats why from time to time we come short with expected results.
Then add to that Marvels/Disney's last minute changes and its total chaos to complete the production in time.

Yes at the end SS in charge and they will have to solve the issues and respond to the customers issues.
For all my collecting year and dealing with Sideshow I have never been disappointed by their customer service. Thats the biggest reason why we appreciate them to be our major distributer. They will learn from this and take care of it so it doesnt happen next time around.

Re: Rogue

Agreed, the pupil is blown out. And the other guy is happy to keep a broken statue that came with a bent portrait? :cuckoo:

This appears to be SSC's target audience these days. :dunno

They have really talented people working there, and stellar service. But, they just can't seem to fix the factories. Sorry for all you having trouble with this. I've been there, know it's frustrating.

Re: Rogue

Got mine yesterday # 183 and i disappointed I have been reading this thread from the beginning and it's sad how it went from so much excitement to the biggest let down of the year . My regular head has brown overspray on the white, brownpaint is missing in the brown area, the lips are ok but above them is a streak of a darker skin tone don't know what it is. Eyes are not as bad as I have seen in others on this thread still do not match advertised rogue @ Sdcc or the artwork on the box.the eye shadow looks like crap. The body has some areas that have green dot overspray on yellow it has little crater type dings on right boob. Ex head much better than regular sloppy eyeshadow still but eyes are lookin in the same direction.sideshow should answer or contact us about this issue that has screwed over a heck of a lot more than 5 collectors. I will try and get pics up later

Re: Rogue

What they can do is contact their customers who did a pre order and say

"marvel has decided to change the Rogue PF statue to fit their image of rogue properly, so if you would like to cancel your order and receive your $30 depost back now is the time. if this new change does not bother you, please disregard this message".

Its still a sideshow product and their responsibility to notify their customer of the change so when i open up the box excited to see what i thought i ordered be different is false advertising to me.

how hard would it have been for them to send out a email to everyone who is on the news letter list saying the rogue PF has changed due to marvel direction? 20min?

Im sure Sideshow wishes it was that easy!
I have a feeling the Ex's were already on the boat by that time.
