Re: Rogue

2nd review on the Rogue EX from the SS site:

"Rogue Lover from Utopia writes:

Could've been...

Both heads PERFECT which was most important. The eyes were positioned correctly. Scared me to death on Youtube reviews. I had some smudges along her left torso on the yellow and right fist. Paint seems like an issue lately but the sculpt is exquisite except for the reduced glutes. Could've been..."

Once again the word "perfect" is mentioned.

Re: Rogue

The buyer that put the first review up posted pictures on statueforums and he stated that he plans to return the headsculpts even though he gave it a four star review.

The minute Sideshow puts this label on the box is the minute Sideshow puts its reputation on the line and becomes fully responsible for the overall quality of the end product

Ok, I will let Sideshow address the issue. Its not really my place to talk for them as ARH is not Sideshow.
As I said I have faith in their capabilities and I believe they have treated us like professionals.
The QC sticker is put on the factory floor not the Sideshow HQ

Re: Rogue

Im sure Sideshow wishes it was that easy!
I have a feeling the Ex's were already on the boat by that time.

Come on Ave what do you mean they wish it was that easy?

The the moment marvel told them to change her ass that it was different from the prototype and when people ordered her. They SHOULD have contacted all the people who pre ordered that it was being changed and we could opt out of the order and view what/how it was changed.

its very easy to let their customer know whats going on, just a email away.

If my company were to change the ads on clients before it went to press and not let the client know and have their approval, we would be out of business.

The other theme is that none of them complaining about the heads. Both complaining about the butt..... Deflection??

Re: Rogue

I guess I've become 1 out of the many people who will be contacting SS about this debacle. Just got mine in and I must say it's very disappointing. The paint apps are horrible (blotchy and fading paint apps with the green paint appearing through the yellow paint on her outfit), extremely lazy eye, and mine came out "dirty" looking with stains all over her boots and gloves. :gah:

Re: Rogue

wow jgama25, those eyes are by far the worst so far in my opinion.

its like one person was working on one while another person was working on the other, at the same time.

Yes that would be the right thing to do.
Your stuck on that A@@, arent you? I know Im disappointed too but I look at my statues from the front most of the time :)

But I guess there must be some SS QC representative to CONTROL the statues before the stickers are put on???

Well as i stated on other threads, she was going in my glass case with the mirrors in it. That Arsh was one of the main reasons i ordered her, im a arsh man what can i say.

I even plan to buy more of those cases with mirrors for any other females that have the junk in the trunk. Got to appreciate the whole sculpt and not just the front.

Which is why i feel like SS pulled a fast one on me, if i had known her arsh would have ended up like this i would have looked elsewhere for her then a pre order.

Again, I dont care if the factory put the sticker on, or some Hobo they paid in noodles to put it on. I bought from SIDESHOW, this is SIDESHOW'S responsibility. Let's not forget who the seller is and who the client is.

I don't want excuses, and I dont need to know a company's inner workings, it's SS who is at fault. I sent them not my money, not the Hing Fat Factory in Hong Kong.

I cant argue with that!

Yet I know such a master painter like you could fix this to be even 100x better!
I know we all want perfection and when we dont get it, it sucks! :gah:

Re: Rogue

They will learn from this and take care of it so it doesnt happen next time around.
While I can appreciate your need to be diplomatic here, this isn't the first time this has happened. My first Spidey Comiquette was a wreck, as it was for many others. I can only hope that the apparent pervasiveness of this Rogue issue and the ensuing fallout will have the result that you suggest. But like Nam said in the other thread, if Rogue owners are really upset about this and what it means for the future, they really need to speak with their pocketbooks by sending these in for replacements until they get satisfaction, or for refunds. Like any rational agent, Sideshow responds to costs and benefits, incentives and disincentives. If folks are gonna say that a statue is "good enough" and keep it despite internet bluster to the contrary, then I don't think they can realistically expect change in the future.

:exactly::goodpost: I said it before, if you are keeping this statue and are just "okay" with it, you are just as much of the problem as Sideshow is for letting them get shipped. You keeping a defective product tells Sideshow we're fine with having the bar lowered.

Tell me about it. I'm debating whether or not to get a refund or wait for a replacement. I'm a big fan of rogue and the xmen and was greatly anticipating this one. I'll keep everyone posted about what SS has to say. Hopefully, they've already got the ball rolling for exchanges to "good" pieces as I suspect they will be getting a lot of requests in the next week to exchange or return them.

I really can't believe your posts. This is not about some crybaby customers whinning because they didn't get a perfect statue or complaining about small details, small flaws. This is about a whole messed up product run!

PS You can ignore this post too, no worries.

Well, to be fair they always mention that the pictures are of the prototype and are subject to change.
