2 more days wait for me. Really looking forward to this figure after reading this thread and seeing the pictures. :chew

Did you find that you had to really push to get the gun into the holster in order to close the magnet? I did, just curious.

Absolutely...I was a little concerned that it would fail to work for aout a day. But I got braver and braver at sitting the blaster into the holster and it eventually fell into place.

Now I really do like the idea. I just need to get my blaster, ignited lightsaber, and right wrist joint all corrected and this will certainly be my favorite Luke so far (although I do beleave that Sideshow could have done the opening belt pouches if they had REALLY wanted to).

Mine just arrived. Great figure, except for the "just saw a ghost" eye paint apps expression. Will be sending mine off to Darkartist for tweaking and weathering. Holster magnet is cool. Great outfit too, nice material.

How about a little review or opinion? And yes, pics too please.

FYI, I'm not even gonna attempt repaints ('cause, well I suck at that and DarkArtist is the master)... but I will make my weathering services available if folks are interested in having their Bespin Luke weathered and DA is backed up.

I'll weather mine and post pics when he arrives.

:rock

Well in that case these may come in handy ...

Sorry guys, no time for pics right now, it IS Monday, a work day.. but I noticed the blaster is packed tightly in its little compartment and the nozzle of the blaster seems bent a bit on mine too, must be how they are forced in, no worries with a blowdryer.

I don't mind the boots, but still will have them weathered too by DA. The sculpt is completely UNDER-Rated IMO. I know many were saying Andy's was superior, but I don't know, matter of taste I guess. If you showed the sculpts unpainted side by side, I might choose the one we got actually.

The paint apps do throw it off a bit, the eyes especially with that "I saw a Ghost" expression and the eyebows are a bit exaggerated but once this guy is tweaked you'll see how great it actually is, Matt did a superb job...

MORE comments later..

I can't wait to get my hands on this figure. The pics look fantastic and it is one of my most looked forward to SSC Star Wars figures. I made a Bespin Luke a while back but had to use Hasbro clothing so it looked a little off. This time, I know I will make it look fantastic. And that sculpt is great, will look awesome when it is painted.

I also cannot WAIT to see what Les does with this sculpt. :rock

Okay Kids, here are a few Pre-Customized Pics... that is, before DA does his thing with mine. Not the best light to show the eyes and paint apps and totally "out of the" box pics, NO futzing at all with the outfit, but I did get the hilt ring worked out and got the blaster snugly fit into the holster, which is very nice as you'll see. Also had to use a blowdryer to straighten the barrel, as it was bent upwards a bit.

Everyone who has this already, what's the consensus on the holster magnet, is it a sturdy method or does it leave room for concern.

Great pics everyone, he's looks awesome, can't wait to get him.

I took these in darker light so you can get a better idea of the HS and paint apps, which aren't bad at all, the hair is really painted nice as is the face...
so, a few collar up shots, same pose, different light...
