The boots look like they have nice weathering painted on them, believeable, not just crummy paint slapped around on it.

Okay Kids, here are a few Pre-Customized Pics... that is, before DA does his thing with mine. Not the best light to show the eyes and paint apps and totally "out of the" box pics, NO futzing at all with the outfit, but I did get the hilt ring worked out and got the blaster snugly fit into the holster, which is very nice as you'll see. Also had to use a blowdryer to straighten the barrel, as it was bent upwards a bit.
I took these in darker light so you can get a better idea of the HS and paint apps, which aren't bad at all, the hair is really painted nice as is the face...
so, a few collar up shots, same pose, different light...

Where did you get your R2. Is that the green one from episode 1 repainted?

I have the TRU Exclusive 2 pack light up R2 and C3PO.
More Notes: Like Wor-Gar's, the elbows on mine were glued shut, only opened half way, a good blast with a Blowdryer corrected that. Also ironed the Besbin shirt.
One other Note: I don't know why but Besbin Luke looks even BETTER at night, I think the darker light brings out the HS, and I will go on record as saying this is the BEST SSC 1/6 Luke likeness, better than Jedi.
The sculpt IS Mark, just needs a tweak and he will kill.

What i meant was that was a nice touch to add the dirt i was not complaining at all props for even adding the little detail like that!!
Well in the movie he did leave the swamp in a hurry. Prolly didnt have time to wash his hands

The paint apps take a bit away from the sculpt in the eyes, eyebrows but the SCULPT is far better IMO.
Look at him under darker natural light, the shadows tell the story of this HS, it is absolutely superb.
I definitely agree that Luke looks better at night.
I don't know why; maybe it's those "bright eyes" that don't light up quite as much. I'm thinking it's either the loss of gloss or they used a too-bright white paint at the factory for those eyes. But at night, he really looks quite lifelike.
I would also concur that this is the best sculpt of Luke yet. Although, Jedi Luke has the best paint apps straight out of the box.

Wow... seeing Mike's pics have convinced me that pjam is right in his assessment. This really is the best Mark Hamill likeness in any scale ever done.

Got mine today. Unfortunately, a piece on my ignited lightsaber hilt was broken off. No worries though because I've already informed Sideshow.

I know I could, but I really do like the severed hand stump. It would be a much better display option if we had a Vader! I might switch to a blaster pose later with the unignited hilt on the belt. Awesome figure overall, but the hands seemed a bit harder to get on this time around.
