Great figure. I'm so glad I decided to get him after all. After some work I got his uniform the way I want it and even extended his neck a little.

ok... I finally opened my Bespin Luke (my second fig opened) an I have some problems.

First off he is suffering from Limp wrist. Kind of like how your old Kenner figs got loose after awhile. Is there a way to fix this besides glue (but then you can't change hands)

Also... on his Holster... the seem on the back split down when I tried to put the gun in it. And the little magnet won't connect when the gun is in it.

What type of glue should I use to fix this?

Is there some type of "Prep" work done to a fig to limit tearing and such?

Are these problem common with 1/6th?

Thanks Guys.. I'm finally displaying my figs (now that I'm a home owner)

Can I ask how you lengthened his neck?

I use metal rings from shower curtain chains. You have to pop off the head of course, add the ring then stick the head back on. You could really use anything, but the figure has to have a high collar to conceal what you did.

I was looking through this thread, and noticed this figure was still available on SS's website. I'm thinking about getting this, it's a decent price and plus I have a $15 gift card that I can put towards it since its eligible. My concern though is reading through these posts I noticed that people have been having issues with this. Like the wrist joints being loose, the holster ripping, blaster barrel being bent and sometimes breaking. Now this would be my first 12 inch figure, and reading about all these problems I'm kinda hesitant now. I'd like as many opinions as I can get from people who have this, because I don't want it to turn into a bad experience if I decide to get him. Also I won't be doing any "tweaks" to the figure like repainting and what not, cause basically I don't know how, and I wouldn't want to try. So I'd like opinions based on how he looks right out of the box and taking into account the problems that have arisen with him. Thanks guys.

Its my favorite Luke so far. He is pretty much good right out the box with a little futzing with the costume. I did have an issue with his holster but if you buy from SSC, just request a replacement like I did!:D

He's one of their best showings so far...a must for any Luke fan.

IMO, this is one of the weaker Sideshow releases. About the same level as Bespin Han. If this is your first figure, you may be disappointed. On the other hand, I just recently ordered this guy on ebay because I know Sideshow probably won't release him again and it's my only option for my favorite rendition of Luke. And with your $15 coupon you will get him brand new for about the same price I paid.

I agree. I bought into the hype on this figure and in hand he is not so good. Jedi luke is much better, and i'm hoping ANH Luke trumps all.

Well, well...I must be in the minority here. I was kinda not expecting much when I got him but after posing him for a while, I really began to enjoy the figure. I captured many iconic scenes with just a few minutes of posing em!

For me, the Jedi Luke has one of the best portraits of Luke but I couldn't get past his GIGANTIC head and those long monkey arms:monkey2!

Let me clarify that BL is one of their best LUKE offerings so far. If you were only going to buy one 12" SW figure from this line, I would say go with Old Ben, Sidious or Leia Boush.

I really like this figure overall, I really enjoy having it. The only significant issues I see with it are the QC issues with the guns and belts, which were rectified, and mine as well as some others, suffered from one of the weaker Buck bodies a figure's been on with some really loose wrists. With body replacement, it can be a great figure, but out of the factory, there were faults in the execution, but overall it's a sharp looking figure.

Thanks for the input guys. This more than likely won't be my only Star Wars 12 inch figure, I just wanted to get a good Luke, and as much as I like him when he was in his Jedi outfit, I think the Bespin version is the most memorable. I know it won't be that much with my gift card but every purchase for me is important. I'm still going to think about it some more, so keep the opinions coming.
