SSC 1:6 Bespin Luke Pics

I received my ebay Bespin Luke today. I will let you know what I think later today.

My post was directed towards Havok, but I know you will be.

Ok, I will keep this short. After inspecting him out of the box, I would say you should get him if you like the Bespin Luke character. It will unfortunately probably be a long while before we can get another rendition of ESB Luke. Hopefully Trevor Grove will be allowed to work his magic on the next one. I would say that Bespin Luke is equivalent in quality to Jedi Luke.

But my Bespin Luke does have some problems. Most of them have already been noted. His gun barrel is bent upward a bit. And his unlit saber hilt is also bent. It looks like the hilt is made of two pieces and they were glued together crooked. The lit saber hilt does not have this problem. His wrists are loose like others have mentioned, which is odd because the rest of his joints are very tight.

Overall, I am still glad to have him because he will make a good display piece next to Vader and Yoda and ESB is my favorite SW film.

Update: I was able to straighten both the gun barrel and the hilt with a heat gun. A hair drier should do fine too. The heat helped soften the glue enough between the segments of the hilt to move them into a better position.

I very much like Bespin Luke. The barrel on my blaster was crooked...but heating it with a blow dryer softened the glue and I easily straightened it.

Continuing my upgrade of all my star wars sideshow figures ive started to upgrade my bespin luke, going to try and make as good as i can.

Once i repainted the skin tones and hair you can really see what a amazing likeness there is in this scuplt

Replaced the sideshow body with the dragon neo3 and is the perfect height got Luke, Dyed the outfit, repainted the boots weathered the belt which i think was my favorite thing i did espeacially the buckle.

Still got to perfect the eyes and repaint the BBi hands and take a decent photo.

I am getting one of Glenns Lukes but thats going to be for a Sail Barge Luke and Death Star 2 Luke, both on the neo3 which ive started to horde.

The head I was talking about was the Vader Luke... the Luke face in Vader's helmet that Pix commissioned and Glenn was kind enough to open up for the rest of us Freaks. It's a fantastic piece and would really compliment your Luke I think.

The main problem for me with Bespin Luke are the lips. I think I'll just fix that.

No, too short. Neo3 is the same size as the smaller buck. DiD body might work and are cheap but i going to be using a HT truetype for Han.

I always thought the Bespin Luke was a good figure... he's not stellar, but a solid entry. Although for my money Jedi is still the best, even with Monkey Arms

Excellent job! I thought Luke was nice outa the box but after I repainted and dirtied his duds a bit on mine he's just awesome.

Yours looks great on that neo body and the weathering is superb.

I am working on a quick fix Dagobah, Bespin arrival Luke for Pjam... thought I would post some in work shots. So far, Luke is done. Just needs clear coat and gloss. But all I did was redo the eyebrows and eyes, added some hair details, repainted the lips and weathered the clothing. Quick job. He will soon have a repainted Hasbro Yoda perched on his back.

This is such an underrated figure -- and an important Iconic figure IMO. All it needs is an ey de-wonking and some weathering and it is a superb representation of the character IMO. Love mine...
