Re: SSC Harleyquinn 1/6th Scale figure

looks like she's got lots of cool stuff ~ still on the fence with this line seeing as we don't know whether bats will be good.

i refuse to have villains and no bats!

Re: SSC Harleyquinn 1/6th Scale figure

I don't mind the boots and I plan on removing the corset. But, I HATE the fact that they switched/reversed the colors on her mask/pig tails! It's supposed to be either all black on her left side and all red on her right. Not half and half. Even their own control/key art of Harley has it the classic way! :slap

Is this a mistake? Well if it isn't, I guess I'll have to paint it the correct way myself. :gah:

Damn you SS! Why couldn't you just stick with the classic design? :monkey2

EDIT: Maybe the pigtails are removable/posable? Looks like there is a seam there. If so, then I'll just pop them off and switch them. I hope this to be true.

Re: SSC Harleyquinn 1/6th Scale figure

It says in the pic with the staircase that it's not included.

omg really??? lol i like scanned over the pictures and i swear i never saw that.......oh well. then i guess she'll just have a regular stand. it would be cool if sideshow made enviroments for the DC figures....kinda like gi joe. A enviroment of the jokers hideout would be pretty cool!!! or the batcave!

Re: SSC Harleyquinn 1/6th Scale figure

She looks pretty good. Not sure if she looks almost $200 good, but it's definitely Harley Quinn. Now, if the staircase and crate were included, I'd say that'd be one hell of a bargain. A figure with two heads, multiple accessories, a variety of hands, and a diorama base that can be used with the other figure in the line, as well, for under $200? I'd say it would be too good to be true, which it is.

I just don't get why they wouldn't just put a normal base in there, rather than putting that awesome one in the pics and saying "that doesn't come with it./jk. Trololololol." Unless this is their way of announcing that there'll be a diorama component to this line, and those stairs will be available; just separately and made of expensive polystone.:slap

Re: SSC Harleyquinn 1/6th Scale figure

I'm waiting for the day that SSC shows a really great headsculpt and the byline below says "this sculpt not included."

that would be an awesome design feature. the kai arts pigtails can be pulled out and posed, so maybe (maybe?) they were smart enough to do the same?

Re: SSC Harleyquinn 1/6th Scale figure

I'm surprised this didn't come with an unmasked head sculpt like the pf.

Re: SSC Harleyquinn 1/6th Scale figure

I dig it but probably won't get the EX and just order the reg from AE. I love the sculpts but I was hoping for an unmasked head but still her and Joker look great together.

I'm pretty surprised that she's the first female up for PO on the new female body since SSC kept saying that Baroness would be the first.

Re: SSC Harleyquinn 1/6th Scale figure

Hate the corset. Think it's removable?

It also doesn't capture the fun side of HQ like the statue does. I like the accessories and the rest of the costume.

I would be extremely happy if they decided to do this. The SS PF and 1/6 fig of Harley was supposed to be the end of my search for great looking classic HQ. (I own a bunch of HQs, but not in 1/4 or 1/6 scale)

Please make the pigtails (and corset) removable! I don't want to have repaint these myself! :lecture

Re: SSC Harleyquinn 1/6th Scale figure

I'd bet the pigtails are separate but they may be glued in so it may take some heating/prying to get them off. Then some slight touch up but all in all relatively easy to switch them around

Re: SSC Harleyquinn 1/6th Scale figure

Like the Joker this looks like a nice looking figure, not sure I can afford to get into this line though :(

Re: SSC Harleyquinn 1/6th Scale figure

better than the medicom one

I am gonna disagree for one reason, the Medicom Harley is based on an actual comic book version of Harley, the Jim Lee Hush version.

I am definitely going to buy both but the SSC one is not based on any real comic art or story. Sideshow took creative license with this figure and it has it's good points and not-so-good points but at the end of the day this not any specific Harley. This isn't Jim Lee or Terry Dodson or even Bruce Timm; not Hush, not Arkham Asylum or even Arkham City. This is Sideshow's interpretation of Harley Quinn, period. For that I give Medicom props because they made a figure based on an actual comic book.

To me, unless SSC bases the figure on a version of the character from an actual comic book the figure is just a generic Harley, no more, no less.

Oh, I'd love to see Gillian Jacobs from Community as Harley. She meets all the requirements:

Well, I have ordered the AC custom Harley from IDM but i might get this one as well since i really like the design and accessories. Overall, i really like the fact that sideshow decided to give their own spin on the character.

I get your point, but at the same time, the point of these early versions by SSC are supposed to be their take on the character and not directly from any specific comic/artist. In terms of quality, I'm pretty sure the SSC one will win at least in costuming. Is this a definitive version? Maybe for some and maybe not for others... The hush one from medicom is going to need a lot of work to bring it up to par IMO and I don't too much care for Jim Lee's art for the most part with a few exceptions so the medicom one is already a no no
