Her boots don't attach to the Play Toys. They're pegs while Play Toys are ball joints. And by rubber bodies do you mean Phicen? Those are also ball joints. Idk about the newest ones though.

Do you know if there are any replacement bodies that are compatible with the sideshow hands/boots/head right out of the box? I don't want to do a lot of modification, or frankensteining a couple different bodies together if I can avoid it. I was going to go order a couple of play toys bodies until I read your post.

Well I just ordered a Play Toy 2.0. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

please do. i have a feeling i will be making this mod soon also. I'm actually scared to look at mine after all the horror stories. She is my favorite from the SSC line but it appears that all the bodies are disintegrating. I haven't heard anybody say that their harley is perfect.

You could dremel into the ball joint to fit the peg. Or just use different boots. But I want to keep her SSC boots. :/

Also I would check your figure Amos. They're gonna melt no matter what. Get her suit off before it gets ruined.

With all this talk of Harley's costume being damaged by deteriorating plastic, I figured it was time to check mine out.
I removed her corset and the costume looked good. One leg was slightly loose.

I figured better safe than sorry so I removed her whole costume. Sure enough the plastic was in the early stages of getting sticky by the upper thigh and lower torso. Fortunately there was no damage to the costume. I am sure if I would have waited another few months that would not have been the case.

I moved the leg a couple of times and sure enough it broke off completely. As much as I miss not having Harley next to Mr J. in my detolf for the time being, I would definitely recommend that all Harley owners remove the costumes ASAP in preparation of new bodies.

If all the bodies end up doing this it will be hard to find undamaged Harley costumes down the line.

I just noticed the ankle joints are removable pieces on the Play Toy 2.0 body after seeing it in that Amazon link. That might actually work then... Maybe. I was assuming the ball was solid with the leg like Phicen. Or are those a removable piece too and my whole life is a lie? lol

Other than the Play Toy body I used everything else from SS. I don't have Harley out right now so I can't look at exactly what I did, but I think the only thing I did was drill the feet holes on the body. I didn't even use the drill, just the drill bit with my fingers.

yeah,
I'm going to order a play toy 2.0 on amazon in preparation. not looking forward to removing the outfit, scared of damaging it. its a rock or hard place scenario, don't want to ignore the issue so better to look for a solution now.

I ordered a couple of the play toy bodies from amazon, one for harley and another for catwoman. Removing the costumes this weekend in the meantime so that they don't get damaged. You'd think with a problem this bad sideshow would make some kind of official statement. The least they could do is fix the issue and send owners official replacement bodies.

i agree, it would be good form to at least offer some advice on how best to proceed. And to let us know that going forward this will not be an issue with future figures. these aren't cheap and to have them deteriorate to a pile of crap within 18 months is not acceptable.

I used the play toy 2.0 body on my catwoman figure. I'm still thinking whether i should replace my Harley Quinn body soon. And yes the sideshow female body's foot peg is not compatible with the play toy's ankle ball joint. So my play toy body's legs are just inserted in the boots and are only held by a good amount of friction.

Nice bozongas, but the skin doesn't match....
Even the original Sideshow female body and the catwoman head sculpt does not really match in color. But you can actually swap the breast plates if you prefer the original sideshow skin tone. But for me i just prefer her to have bigger melons. 😆

So I had some free time and have been reading previous posts. Does the staining seem to be on all Harley figures or was there a correction mid production that it's not as prominent? I bought mine about 6 months ago but after initially looking her over she went back in the box like the rest of my figures until I finish a room to display them.
Should I also be concerned?
