So it's okay for a company to put an item on Waitlist even though the item hasn't event met the edition size? Isn't that being deceiving?:dunno

Not really, no. If they put "sold out" and then back in stock, then yes. Or even the LQA bar. But for WL, no. You're demonizing Sideshow because essentially, they're not allowing you to bypass the NRD. :cuckoo:

Even if that is their tactic, I don't really see the problem. If people are easily lured into a purchase they weren't going to make, bc it might sell out, then I guess that's their problem. If they only want it because now it looks like it's sold out, then maybe they need to get in better touch with what they actually want rather than what they think they want.

Again I'm not trying to bypass the deposit. Did h not read the part of low sale order? By putting it on WL, they are able to sell it faster because they no people will jump on it. That's not bypassing a deposit.

I guess they like to sell stuff? :dunno

This thread needs to be closed, set on fire, and buried in the deepest part of the ocean.:dunno

Why? Isn't my point valid? :peace

Just a side note, the people who doesn't see a problem with this, are u guys statue collectors or 12" figure collectors? 12" figure collectors rarely have NRDs charged were statue collectors do. If u buy statues you will quickly know how fast NRDs can add up.

NRDs go towards the purchase price don't they, oh god i hope they do. If they do, then you were obviously going to spend the money anyway, and it will cost you less at shipment. If not, then holy crap, I might have to reconsider one that is converting as we speak.

People still cancel even when there's a NRD, so if you get on waitlist early on then there's still a good chance of getting converted.

Besides that, they often don't have a set edition size, which means they might later increase the size if there's still lots of interest

The ES was announced already prior to even getting WL sold out. It took 5 months before it mysteriously going in WL without even a low bar meter set. Strangely that week when Madame Hydra went on WL, about 6 other Marvel statues was WL soldout too? That's quite a coincidence.

I don't limit myself to a single genre. I also read and understand the terms/purchasing agreements before ordering. :nana:

I think I get what VS is attempting to try to get across (though no one is really letting him) and I understand it. If a statue is WL with an NRD and you can not only get on the WL, but it quickly converts, then there is probably no need for the WL as there are still quite a few of them available, more than cancellations would account for and enough to not even warrant a low quantity bar. I guess SSC is just hoping that seeing it have a WL will get people to sign up and then they can get their NRDs and sell more of the exclusives instead of the regulars or having customers go to other sites to get the statues, which is kind of a cheap way of doing things.

Does that sound about right?

Yes, why put something in WL when it's not even remotely selling. IMO when they put it on WL people jump on it quicker thus increasing the orders.
