Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

This is going to be a long long long wait for this guy. OH The anticipation!

Yeah I'm a bit annoyed that he probably won't be here until a year from now. Seems like way too soon to put him up for preorder. Does Sideshow always do this? Gives me bad recollections of dealing with ThreeA waits :(

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

This is my first time holding off until the wait list to avoid the deposit. We'll see how that goes.

I tried that with Dutch PF. It didn't work out so well. Within two days my wait list got converted and I was charged the NRD. :lol

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

The wait was one of the main selling points for me. I'll gladly wait until next March, there is just too much stuff coming out this year.

Did the same.

Sideshow is testing their new business model. Just like the NRD started on only a few items, now it's the normal way of business.

The TBD on ES is going the same route.

Two positive benefits (Known ES at order time and no NRD's) I recall older collectors of Sideshow products used to mention frequently falling to the wayside.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

And so the money saving beings, gonna get a reg for me, I prefer the fist look to the batarang hand.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

:lol at all the guys waiting for the waitlist over 40 bucks...

what's the point...like any of you NOT going to get the batman pf? :slap

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

Batman PF ex is gone? Wow I really feel like this is my second big score without paying 2 to 3 times for a statue, only after vampi pf converted. Thats was a dream as well. Did anyone who knew this was out on PO really waited and missed out? If so there's really no excuses unless your new to statue collecting. Feels so good to not be a newbie on order day on this one. Congrats to all who score this! This is going to look superb in your collections.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

This is my best picture of Batman. The glare on the case was so bad it was murder getting a good pic of him. He is awesome in person.

I ordered the Ex., but don't understand why SS keeps the ES so secret. If its Sold Out they must of known the size. Its Batman, Just post the ES, its going to sellout reguardless.

A lot of people on here think it's so if there's a major surge they can ramp up numbers and make more money.

I personally think it's to prevent losses as do many others. If they put up an item with a number in mind but do not share the number with the consumers and it sells out, great, they've done what they wanted. However if there isn't any real want for an item they can lower the number without anyone actually knowing and therefore still sell out the item just at a lower initial offering and therefore will have less stock left over to try and move.

Also if you think about how many people complain about edition sizes it gives them a chance to show the item without the edition size being scrutinized and they hope you fall in love with the piece and purchase anyway. Hoping once the edition size is revealed you won't care.

Here's what I think. :lecture They have a set max and the orders went so well they knew they wouldn't make anymore beyond the max. But if the orders didn't sell out they'd determine an edition size so they don't make more than they need to. That's why ES is TBD but they gave an act fast notice with quantity left. They had a max set and the orders reached the max.
