lmao nailed it.
Please enlighten us as to SS's margins.
Exactly - i.e. there is gross and net the economic illiteracy of people astonishes sometimes. SS have people who work for them who expect to be paid lmfao.
I never said profit. I said revenue. Meaning people will be spending a lot of money for a quality item. Where did i mention this is the number on SSs bottom line? You're going to teach me, a 3.93 GPA BComm graduate and investment advisor with full IFIC and CSC certification the fundamentals of economics? Don't worry about how smart other people are. You can apoligize for slinging mud where you have no business making a comment. Or you can throw a tantrum and make more ridiculous generalized comments about people you don't know at all.
what does it even matter how much money Sideshow makes or doesn't make on any particular statue? They are a business right? They main purpose is to make money correct?
What is particularly funny is the people who are using Sideshow making a profit as a complaint against the large edition size. The only reason to complain about the edition size is that it will be more difficult for that statue to rise in value over time. So your upset at Sideshow for basically doing what you want to, make a higher profit margin.

LMAO I'm gone a day and the ES battle and debate continues. This time, I'm sitting back and staying quiet and reading the comments. For all those who are miffed at the ES, just collect PFs that are harder to come by that have a lower ES -- that's what I'm doing. There are enough DC fans out there for these pieces to sell out eventually. And yes, the DC PFs won't appreciate in value guaranteed but if you're a true DC fan, they sure are sweet to look at.

That's kind of moot since the all Three EX DC PF's that have had a PO are selling above retail on Ebay right now.
I won't debate that but there are tons of ebay sellers trying to sell Darth Vader and Indy PFs that charge an arm and a leg on ebay throughout the year, but people never bid or buy those auctions. They just get relisted over and over. I can charge whatever I want for a PF on ebay, doesn't mean people are buying it. Anyhoo, the DC PFs are great just not for me. Sorry Josh, didn't mean to get the debate going again just was amused by all the comments. Anyhoo, I'm staying silent lol. Have a good night. Don't wanna get the drama rolling again. And yes, I'm still a SS fan (albeit of lower ES pieces).
I've checked Completed listings, there's no "trying" about it.
none of them are selling for retail or less then retail if that's what you mean. However, $325+ isn't that much of a mark up, and could be a direct result of the sell out hype. We won't really know how things shake out for a few months. Even then, Batman is what, double, what the Joker is. It will be interesting to see if it can even sell out from SSC, let alone increase in value over time.
No i was looking at the Batman Ex, Joker Ex and Ivy EX. The regs are all selling at list or a little below. The Batman EX is selling at about $700, The Joker EX is selling between $550 and $650, but the Ivy EX has had only 1 sale at around $600 though so I won't even count her.
I'm just saying, and you can attest to this being a DCD collector. Higher ESes on DC products is nothing new and they still sell above Retail all the time. Hell look at the Batman B&W originals those go for 3 to 4 times retail and had an ES of 5000 or more.
The ES on these won't dictate aftermarket value as much as some people think. These pieces are more than likely going to bring new blood to the High End Statue market and will be in demand. Maybe they won't command 3grand like Doom, but they'll still sell above retail.
And I'm not trying to argue just to argue it's just I've seen this before as many of us have.
well yeah, EX's will always retain their value and/or increase significantly. Hell, people are paying stupid prices for the exact same statue and a little picture with it, they will pay lots more for a change-o-Something
