Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

Since I don't have it yet I can't play with it. How much give in the cloth is there at the shoulders?

I don't have it yet, but he mentioned gluing the fabric and that scares me.

I have been guilty of repeating my opinion, a lot actually, but I feel like I am improving...lol.

I was when it came to the Superman Ex m8. Honestly, Magnum it is how you are approaching this that is starting to become off putting. Some one comes in and says "I think this is one of the GREATS", and almost immediately you post "There is no way this is a GREAT"... Why piss in his cornflakes m8. I mean this with all do respect, but I have learned that it isn't necessary or fair to rip into a piece that people are proud of. There is a piece that people LOVE in this section that I think looks GRET, but it has a SEVERE anatomy issue. Now I am an anatomy NUT, but I don't keep going into that thread to bring it up. Even tough I have seen that piece in person and the issue IS REAL. In fact it is a piece YOU are VERY fond of. Why don't I go I and discuss it, because THE issue has been discussed before, and there is NO NEED to bring it up again.... And NO it isn't the ALIEN BATMAN....lol. I back off it hose cases now... Guys are entitled to be excited without giant rain clouds.... At least that is my opinion.

There will be IGGY additions eventually... If they haven't happened already.

I just want to know does your art degree and anatomy knowledge trump Magmus's design degree? :rotfl

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

Holy smokes... I'm putting together this piece now... Wow.
This is one of the most beautiful statues I have ever seen.

It's big, heavy, ominous... Make no mistake, this piece will take center stage in whatever room it is displayed. Those of you who have been hammering into this piece without having actually seen one really need to see one in person to digest the sheer magnificence of this piece.

Sure, there's an imperfection here and there, but overall, this is a total Sideshow success. Kudos to Sideshow for taking on this major undertaking.

Pics to come soon.

The kids are all over me today. I was lucky to even get three shots... The weekend is so not the time for me to take photos for a review. lol. More to come later!

I will say this.... I looooooooove this statue!!

Nope... I learned my lesson for the most part m8, and your input helped. I have to say I am totally jealous I won't be getting this right now with everyone else.... Hopefully soon though.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

So a guy over at the other forum used a clear band around the seams and it looks very close to how it is supposed to be. He said grey string should work also.

can't post his pics so here is link to his photos.

Just think when you do get it, all the futzes and fixes will be well documented and yours will be perfect.

Lol... I hope so... I think I will be going for a regular locally when the time comes. I can honestly say I won't be using GLUE...lol. A clear rubber band or Grey thread would work.... And the pics are in post 6137 of the clear rubber band fix

Gotcha thanks! I didn't see him reference the bands, I thought Jaws was posting a "how to" photo.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

I said it on the other forum and I'll say it here...risingstar, those are fantastic pics. The clarity is amazing.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

Would love to see a few more pics of Jed's Batman PF from a few different angles. This has to be literally the only one I've seen so far that actually looks like what we saw at this years Con :exactly:

After seeing this pic, Tuesday can't come soon enough

Go back a few pages, you'll see some of my pics from different angles.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

I'm tired of all this pit talk and pit photos. As promised, the angles no one seems to care about.

And no, you can't see my pits but they are phenomenal.
