Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

So, I just got around to sending in my damaged photo's to SS about my Ex figure. The initial response I got was that they would send me a repair kit (or whatever it's called) since I only reported loose threads around his underwear and a gap in his back. But I was able to find paint flaws when looking him over this time, so I wonder if they'd be willing to offer anything more..

Re: Sideshow Batman PF?

Who can tell with SS? I've been waiting 6 weeks for an answer on a chipped head. Said I could get a refund, a credit, or wait on word for a replacement head but can't offer a timeframe. Like I said, I sent out my initial email 6 weeks ago.

The problem is they didn't get all of their replacement parts at he same time they are coming in batches like the statues are, AND they have gone through most of them. So we have to wait for the next shipments to come in, AND I would be surprised if they take a bit of a wait and see attitude because they can't give out all'of the replacements before the lions share of the Regs because then the wont have ANY replacement part. Eg if they gave out all'of their replacement bodies for paint rubs on say a foot then there wouldnt be any for the guys who have snapped legs and arms. I am not saying that you guys don't have good reasons for wanting returns, just saying you may need to be patient.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

My concern isn't for a return, I'd be happy to keep what I got if I could get some compensation back. In all honesty, my biggest concern is just for the long term, I don't know sewing or fabric, so would have these unraveling problems mean that in 1/2/3/10 years time his underwear will fall apart?

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

I was supposed to get this Tuesday via UPS. Wednesday I got an update that it was in New Orleans but there was no update on when I was supposed to receive it. Wednesday same thing. I called UPS yesterday and they said that it still hadn't been received in New Orleans yet (I live in Baton Rouge) I said but UPS said it was in NO and they told me that was wrong. There was a train derailment and it was sitting on the tracks waiting to repair the derailment...

I said "was there a report of a man dressed as a clown laughing in the area of the derailment?"

The operator gave me a long pause then said "No Sir... "

Damn you give me my Batman!!!!!!!

I don't blame you and I would be look for a replacement if I had those issues. I was just bringing up the reasoning behind the wait.

They want you to sew the thing yourself! Do you get a badge for doing it correctly?:lol

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

Anyone had their waitlists converted recently?

No. :( I've been on since 2/2.

The last conversion I heard of was on Jan 22nd, but for the most part a rash of us who got on it when it first reopened on the 21st were the lucky few. However, that isn't to say you won't have luck. Waitlists for rices have convert months after the last ones as guys get impatient and cancel their Waitlist figuring there is no hope and get the Regular. Now I am not saying yours will, but if anyone who got on the Waitlist, converted, and then flex payed this... Well if the default you could get lucky. In the end if the Reg had a lower ES I might advise you to leap NOW, but you MAY have some time to play with before it sells out. However, I would keep an eye on the boards and on the product page waiting for a Low Quality alert, because I have a feeling when the "Less then 100" warning comes up... Well let's just say I think SSC will have $40 000 worth of orders in a few hours.

Where should I buy this from? Direct from sideshow?

Well you will pay about $440 with shipping if I am not mistaken and get $20 in reward points... You MAY be able to get a better deal from one of the online retailers, but I would hazard a guess that you will have an even bigger hassle getting replacement parts if you go that route. You could also check a Local Dealer, and you may pay more then SSC direct, but at least you get to inspect it prior to picking it up, and there is something comforting in that. If you go that route, try and talk the dealer down, and understand that when they ordered they probably got a hefty discount, so if you are paying a huge markup over the $400 retail at SSC they are trying to fleece you....lol.

Edit: the best deal I have seen as of late was at the wbshop ... About $359.99 with free shipping, but no surprise he is currently out of stock, but you can sign up for an email alert for if he comes back into stock.
