Those films featured misplaced sights?

I don't see the use in placing an item, which is meant to help you target better, at the front of the rifle, vs. the rear of the receiver, where your face is. It's like holding binoculars at arms length to see something in the distance. :lol

looks great Saintsyn. The only issue I have is the looking up through the eyelids eyes. When someone squints as much as Beach is doing here, the iris is most often covered partially by the lower eyelid.
The key to drawing or painting the iris and pupil is to not cover the pupil with the lids at all, even when looking up, otherwise the guy couldn't see. The irises on the other hand are usually covered by the upper lid to the pupil or just above (this also makes the upper iris darker in shadow), and the lower iris is usually riding just on the top of the lower lid.

I also make a rule that the iris and pupil take up no more or less then 2/4 of the total eye on average, the other 2/4 are the whites.

Just trying to help. :wave

Cool beans, thanks for the input. I usually give him the chin down looking up like I'm gonna gut you look, but I totally see what you're saying. I'll need to take a pic of myself sometime to show you what I'm talking about because I painted him looking at myself... maybe I have effed up eyes!!!

As for the flesh tones, its a simple flat flesh color with pastel work over it...

I get what you're saying. The thing about that is the upper eyelids would be further back and the brow more forward, which is all in the sculpt, but that look does come across well in your paints.
