That is what I thought. I was just curious as to what happened with Flint that made BM regard PPOs as unnecessary for the Joes.

But it seems to me that the PPOs are a reward for those who are both newsletter subsribers and have an active account with Sideshow, nothing else, really.

Well, they do more than that. They give the exclusive collector a specific time for placing an order. The newsletter is inconsistent with what time it goes up. I've seen it as early as a quarter to six and as late as seven thirty. Not the type of situation you wanna have to plan for if there's a hot Ex going up for preorder. Plus, as was the case with the Patient Zero PF, there were so many orders, so quick, that it crashed the site and with it being after business hours, it took eons to get back up. So there are good reasons for PPOs too.

Considering Flint took a few days to sell through his exclusive, a PPO isn't needed. If he sold out in an hour or two, or within minutes, a specific time would be more appropriate. But if the window to order is days, then just throw it up with the newsletter and not get anyone in panic mode for fear of missing out on the PPO. Plus PPOs tend to over-hype items because people thing if it is a PPO it must be really limited and thereby potentiall valueable. So you get a lot of flippers and scalpers that can cause fans to miss out. I mean there is only 150 piece difference in the exclusive Firefly and Flint sizes. Yet to sell only 150 more took another day or two to happen. So how many of those Firefly exlcusives really went to Joe fans and how many went to flippers?

Same could be said for the Undying Carcass. 400 exlcusive size for him, ye the regular AND exclusive size of Patient Zero was only 400 combined. The Carcass had a PPO and PZ didn't.

I'm just saying PPOs tend to make people thing differently about a product, and not necessarily in a good way.

First off, Firefly > Flint. That's why flint took so long to sell out. Plus, he's not exactly loaded with gear and Sideshow's charging the same price. Second, you're in error about the PZ PF. The complete run was 525.

It's still a fail bub. Remember, the International was just the regular run an extra 125 times with a glob of paint on the bottom.

Based on what they've given us so far, I hope they're done with the cloth balaclavas. They won't match (Snake Eyes doesn't), and there's nothing worse than inconsistency in a line.

True. Molded doesnt bother me at all. But, of all the Joes BH seems like the one they would have gone with cloth if they were ever going cloth again.
Did you go King's route and change SE head? Im concidering doin that, but I dont know if I should use a troopers head or the extra Storm Shadow head I have.

Yup. Kings little custom just looked too good not to. Now SE fits with the rest of the line. I don't know why you'd use the Storm Shadow head though, Snake Eyes was an all American boy; blonde hair w/blue eyes.

Yeah, but with the face shield, you cant tell. And since I am gluing the damn thing on... I figure the face shield would cover more since the face hole on SS mask is smaller.
