Are you sure? Add a moustache, paint the helment brown and I can see
a Horrorshow custom.

Maybe it's just me. :slap

:lecture:lecture:lecture It's just you. :exactly:

What do you think the are odds that they can lose the mud on the boots? It's a really cool effect, but not exactly consistent with the rest of the troopers.

I would agree with this. Drop the weathering from the boots. poll and petition it :exactly::goodpost::lecture

I agree too. I liked it when I first saw it but then realized that no one has any weathering effect in this line so it makes no sense to start now.

Keep him clean. Let us weather him ourselves if we want.

:lecture:lecture:lecture No biggie though. I'll just pull one from the parts bin.

Yeah, I guess I can pick up some from TA or Monkey Depot. I know my parts bin is considerably less extensive than yours and I don't have any sidearms. Just like to see soemthing new besides the standard Glocks. Or maybe a Glock with an extended mag.

I wonder if they muddied the boots to push sales of the new jungle diorama...

I always saw the Vipers boots as spit-polished to a high shine a la Cobra Commander's boots. I know that's impractical, but that's the image I got in my head as a kid from the original RAH card art.

The more I look at the pics the more I'm leaning toward agreeing with most of you about the weathering. I see dirt also covers the red strips on his legs. These guys are kind of sci-fi looking, sort of the Cobra equivalent of Stormtroopers. And like the Stormies, I think a clean look works best.

Kind of like with the Clones I prefer them to look beat up I think thats why I like that the leg area looks muddy and weathered.

Sorry guys, but the Viper isn't standing around eating rice krispy treats in the Cobra palace, wondering when the next time they'll get a good glimpse of the Baroness' backside. He's in the field doin' work son. Keep the weathering.

Thats the thing I like that these have the heart of the classic figures with the modernish/realish counterparts. However, a bit of weathering I think could be used on most of these pieces and would look good. Maybe tone down what was used but overall keep it as I expect these guys would be out killing ____.
