Sorry for all those members who had to cancel. Hopefully it will stay in stock long enough for you to rebound back from the regretful decision of dropping this guy off your orders.

This by far the coolest looking 1:6 of the line to date.

Nathan, was Sideshow planning on Chroming this all along or was this a surprise to you too? And what exactly is the method they use for chroming, if you know? Seems like a lot of people might be swayed one way or the other if silver painted parts end up chromed on production figures (the Cobra Commander PF comes to mind).

I was actually going for something like this, but the paint I used failed to achieve that shine, and the surface texture of the resin parts wasn't perfectly smooth enough, especially after primer and black base coat. You just can't do it in paint, but I believe the desired end result was to be mirror finish all along.

I'm not sure it's possible to do mirror chrome on polystone. I can't recall ever seeing it done. Hard plastic though can be plated with a mirror chrome finish like this. I'm not sure what the process is, but it's definitely not paint. And if Destro's head is the usual vinyl material, I don't think it can get this finish. I'm sure they'll work it out though when the time comes.

Not loving the chrome, or the extra mask peaking below the sides of the helmet. The protoype helmet/mask on the box art looked perfect to me.

I'm not sure what "extra" mask you mean.

Anyone know the relevance for having 2 water bottles with this character? :rotfl

The regulars don't even have mouths. I guess he likes to clean off his face mask. ...like a whole lot...

....germaphobe...

I'm with the others, I'm not a fan of the chrome, will be a nightmare for photo op purposes, even in the side on view above you see the photographers hand/camera.

There also is most definitely a marked difference with the prototype head, the chrome chin goes down much farther, and is not as aesthetically appealing.

I'm still getting it, but the prototype did look much better.

I think the helmet is seperate from the shield, so there should be some adjustment.

As for the chrome and photos:

how it looks on the shelf > taking pictures of it

Well, if the red and blue unis don't give them away, the glint and reflection off of the chrome will.

I'm still undecided whether I like the chrome or not, but it should have been included, considering the teaser:
