As for the Viper. Great figure. No, scratch that. Outstanding figure from Sideshow.

Prolly the best QC figure ever from SS. Perfect paint aps. 2 in a row means SS might be turning that corner.

From a design standpoint, I still don't like the red patchs on the front of the pants instead of the inner thigh, the shinguard and the mud. The molly weaves was a nice detail but not needed at this scale IMHO. Other than that, he is great. Trooper still edges him out on my top Joe list. But this figure is easly on the top 10 Figure of 2011 list.

The patches, wow, you can do whatever you want with him.

Anyway, some pics. I added a Hawk dropdown and Trooper sidearm and the short neck.

Damn, when you match your Viper collection to the amount of Cobra troopers, that is going to be an awesome sight to behold!

Are the faces different on all the troopers?

Didn't mean to start a TT vs Pro war or nothin. I like the pro on almost all of the figures including Duke and Flint who have their arms exposed. Only on the Viper because so little of the arm is supposed to be seen I would prefer that what IS seen is not the gaping holes for the articulation.

Yeah, that mirror finish to the mask really puts it over the top IMO. So much more menacing than if they had just kept it silver.
