i personally dont mind at all with his orange-ish color i think this statue looks awesome and worth every single penny . its very well painted after all.

Temporary home for Mr Maul... Just thought I'd throw this up for a color/size reference for Darth Maul. Anyone who knows the Spidey comiquette knows that he is tall! So Maul is just slightly under him in size & he is over 2" taller than Sabretooth who is also a big bastard! As you can see compared to the red of Spidey he does come short of being "red" but in my opinion it's far from a deal breaker. My regular Maul PFF is in storage so I can't throw up any comparison shots But honestly if you are going to shun this guy fort being 10% off the color he "should" be... shame on you! that's just plain racist you should never judge anyone by their color!

So am i missing something i put mine together today and i got the cloak on him and i have the two small strings i have tied around his waist. But in pics i see he has a thick belt is my cloak missing a piece or did you guys wrap the flaps in front and back around the waist?

You should have the thick belt in there separate from the rest of the cloak. Make sure you check everywhere in the box.

That sucks! Yeah it's about an inch wide and has some velcro... pretty much cant miss it.

Well, I was able to make it home before my scheduled time and I was able to pick this up. The box is f'ing huge!

I took out the main body piece and held it up next to my Talon statue and honestly the red paint hues aren't all that bad. In my own mind I can accept that Maul isn't as deep a red of a color cuz he was cut in half (story wise). And it's kinda nice to see degrees/shades of colors for characters and not have aliens look all uniformly the same *shrugs* But I might be alone in that thought

I've already contacted sideshow and I hope they approve of a replacement base, since the batteries dont work (added brand spankin new batteries and also checked it with a multi meter) Also the arm piece contact is very weak barely works. I've done with the rep asked rubbing alcohol on contact points and re-springing the bottom of the base battery contact. My mint statue spree as ended at 19.. I R Sad

I have no issue with aliens being different colors.. It's just that we all know what color Maul is, and it's not this.

Well, again, the man was cut in half and has chicken legs now. I can kinda settle with the idea that he lost his original color because of something "lab experiment"-like happening lol.

WOW! After all my problems getting this item from UPS, I open up the packaging to put the piece together and the lightsaber is broken!! It's literally snapped at the center and the lower saber is hanging off the hand section

Anyone know what my options are? Keep a broken statue or will Sideshow replace the broken piece specifically?

They may just send you a replacement saber or have you send the whole thing back and send you a new Maul.

Or if you get really lucky they will send you a new Maul and you get to destroy the one you have

Wow, how and why would they ever let that happen? I was more hoping I could just box the broken saber and have them send that piece back instead of sending the entire statue (what a pain to unwrap it and an even bigger pain to re-wrap it imo). The statue itself came fine, the power button was a little fidgetty to get working, but all in all I'm hoping I can keep this one and not chance getting something else back that might be broken
