I'm actually sweating on your Zuckuss review - might push me over the edge to press that BUY button.:lol

I'm still with jedibear to some degree in thinking I can maybe take my Hasbro 12" Zuckuss (which is not a bad sculpt in terms of head and pipes/chest gear,) give him a repaint and redo and have it look maybe 80% as good as the SSC version, then just tick it off as "lesser character, end of the line-up" kind of thing, but the SSC fig looks awesome.

Out of Dengar, 4-LOM and Zuckuss, everyone seems to be saying Zuckuss is the stand-out, which is the last thing I expected. As always, if these figs were in the $130-150 range, buying them all would be a whole lot easier decision, and add that to the fact that for the same money (or less) you can get Tarkin and Leia Hoth - truly remarkable human figs that are just stunningly realistic.

Holy ****, just got notification that my Zuckuss will arrive tomorrow! This time is was direct from HK. Will definitely post the review in the next few days. Glad to finally be able to complete the core Bounty Hunter team for me!

Here's my look at the new Dengar. Pleasantly surprised with this one, despite a few nits to pick. Overall glad to finally add him to the bounty hunter collection! Hope you can check out the video, give it a like, and subscribe (hopefully Zuckuss arriving within the next week!)

Fantastic review as always :)

I cannot wait to get this and Zuckuss and complete my Bounty Hunters!!!

The more I mess around with Dengar, the more I like him! Tried to replicate the ESB pose as best I could here. Once I get Zuckuss tomorrow, there'll definitely be some group shots with the Bounty Hunter troupe and Han in Carbonite!

Awesome pics guys. Thanks for sharing. Mine arrives tomorrow so I’ll be able to join the fun then.

Spent all day playing with Hellboy, and only just opened Dengar. (And still have Captain Kirk's Chair to unbox...)

First impressions of Dengar are good.

I'm surprised how detailed the rifle is, and how many parts move on it. Charging spring, back sight, foresight, feed cover, and pull the barrel release catch on the sde and the barrel pops out sideways. Except the barrel is hinged at the back instead of the front as on an MG42.

Aside from the cheap strapping on the backpack I think Sideshow did a really good job with him.

Pretty much all the 1/6 MG42s (even the cheapo ones) are fully functioning like that, or close to it. Interesting about the hinge direction though - it raises the question: if SSC actually went to the trouble of sculpting a stock-standard MG42 or just got a 3D file or mold from a third party and used that to save $$.

I find it hard to believe a design team poring over ref pics of Dengar (presumably better ones than are available online) could have missed the removed stock and different nozzle on Dengar's rifle - it suggests to me it was a cost-cutting measure. Other things such as the use of easily sourced and cheap (but clearly inaccurate in terms of costume accuracy) webbing for his waist belt and shin straps more clearly suggests conscious cost-cutting.

In Khai's video review he asked why SSC put fuzzy fabric above the feet and inside the shin armor - that's meant to be the Hoth Rebel gaiters (same as what Luke and Han have,) which the costumers cut down so the stormie shin armor would close at the top, then held in place by the Hoth Rebel fabric gaiter straps over the armor.

True indeed. It's only been a few years since I sold my Hasbro Zuckuss - so its awesomeness is still fresh in my mind. Looking at movie stills just now and Hasbro really got the overall proportions way more accurate than Sideshow. From the shorter height, to the larger head....even the head coloring is more accurate. The Sideshow one is definitely overall better; but it does have an average height/non-stocky look about it. And it looks like the head is just the color of the plastic..not painted. There's suppose to be very dark and prominent markings on the head. It's like Sideshow 'researches' every aspect but the actual movie. I can't wait to see pics of custom paint jobs on this figure (which ill probably tackle). Even with these flaws; I can't wait to proundly display it..and Dengar of course. I just hope to god Hot Toys never makes these characters. Their ESB Fett has already got me stressed out😮

The only thing I don't like about the late Hasbro figs are the arms, way too short. But that's not really a problem for zuckuss. I guess it figures (see what I did there) the first SS ROTJ luke has hilariously long arms. I still will get this zuckuss but agree, the hasbro has its points in its favor, and was it $25? For $224 I would hope Sideshow zuckuss would bring some more to the table, even the stand is meh. Still, I'm a sucker.

Just opened, have to say very impressed. Macro photos make the face look a little cartoonish, but in person this is perfectly acceptable as a 1/6 dengar, already ordered zuckuss. I'll miss 4lom this go round but I hope Sideshow revisits that one. I do wish it had more hands...oh well.

Got quite the mail call today. One the whole I'm feeling a bit lackluster this time around. Im typically a Sideshow supporter....but I'm feeling..."meh" tonight.

Dengar is the better of the two. On the whole he looks pretty good...but I don't like the cloth headwrap/rubber beanie combo. Articulation is pretty limited and I had paint on the trigger hand and one strap on the pack is chewed along the edge. Contacting Sideshow for replacements.

Zuckuss LOOKS pretty good...but again limited articulation but good detail...but WTF did Sideshow use for material for his coat. I can't see anyway it DOSENT crack and split without some treatment.

I have them posing with thier latest catch from Kit Chen.

Overall....7/10 Dengar
5/10 Zuckuss

Curious are you grading on the price of item? If Dengar was $100 what would have been your grade then?
