I had saved up all my sideshow points for this one since I knew there'd be no way I'd cancel. It's nice getting a figure for basically tax puls shipping. Now they need announce a new female base body and give us Lady Jaye.

Someone else is going to get an exclusive...I just canceled my order :-(

Economy's rough and I had to pick and choose what I kept on pre-order

Re: SCC Flint!!!

I feel exactly the same way. I'll probably replace it a felt one... and my replacement will be GREEN! It always bothered me that Flint's beret was black. If he's "Special Forces", he should have a Green Beret.

I always thought he was more Ranger than SF, which was the reason for his black beret. :huh

Stalker is a Ranger.

According to Flint's FC he had Ranger training:

Yeah, thanks. I'm not new to G.I. Joe - I'm a regular over at Hisstank.com's file card thread.

Flint and Stalker are both Ranger qualified, but the black berets (in the 80's) were only for soldiers actually serving in the Ranger Regiment. Stalker's time as a LRRP would indicate that he did serve in the 75th Ranger Regiment in 'Nam, so he should have the Black Beret.

Flint, though certainly Ranger qualified, is also Special Forces qualified. Which is an MOS, and entitles him to wear a Green Beret. "Ranger" is not a Military Occupational Specialty; Stalker is still in Infantryman (11B). In short, Stalker and Flint should have switched berets - Flint should wear green, and Stalker should wear black (in the 80's. These days, Stalker would wear khaki/sand).
