I got lucky then, cause I just scored one on ebay last night.

Out of the box it looks like this.

If the issue is with paint apps and not sculpt, you might as well stick with the stock head.

Well, I guess he doesn't have the "zombified" lips, anyway, and he does have actual, sculpted hair, but I suspect the beret wouldn't fit on that too well, anyway.

I have absolutely no issues with Duke. The problem I have now is if a headswap is needed for flint, finding one that'll be on par with the rest of the Joes. The Cruise TT head looks too young and looks out of place alongside Duke.

Yeah, he won't look right next to Duke, that's for sure.

Yeah but its an improvemnet, and I didnt pay much for the head. So no harm in trying it out. Besides, I never cared for the SS Flint sculpt. To me, the HT head sculpt looks more like Flint than the SS one.

Congrats Onethousandmasks, I think that's a pretty good match for the character. Too bad it was done at a time HT wasn't using the revolutionary textured skin they use now.

I agree after I put Lincoln Burrows in a black beret last night, he doesn't quite match Flint. Still looking for an alternative.

Not sure if the head will fit in with the line though, and that's gonna be the biggest issue. Plus, as Prog already pointed out, it's not that much of an improvement. HT had a few bombs back in the day too and when that figure came out, their figures were only slightly better than Dragon's (sculpt/paint wise).

Every Joe head needs to be replaced, that's for sure. Cobras look totally badass. Why can't SS make the Joes look like badasses instead of a bunch of mongoloids?

The paint's only 1/2 the issue for me. the expression looks REALLLY bad imo.

If it was just the goofy expression, OR bad paint, I'd be ok, but with both, UGH.

I've got some Heads recast in semi-transparent resin a friend of mine made when he was learning to cast in the stuff, and one of his expirement heads was Thrawn. so I might see how that works.


For the record, Overall i'm pleased with what little i've seen in the pics, and will make a final decision once i've got him in-hand.

I was gonna say, "maybe he's a vampire?" but that wouldn't make any sense given that now they're gay, actually care about people's feelings, and go out in the sunlight where they sparkle.
