To his credit, he snapped all those pics of that Flint and Snake-Eyes photo series, aka "hands on hips."

But they were flash pics. Evil is looking for some shots with natural ambient lighting to get a better idea of the color of the paint on the portrait. I will try to do that after work today.

Looks pretty dang good in that straight-on pic. Like Dave said in the Sideshow head paint thread, we aren't gonna be staring at these things with a magnifying glass, and on the shelf, I think Flint is gonna be just fine. Ideal? No. Something I can live with? Probably so. Gotta love this quote, though:

"Sideshow slow down, we know you want tons of money, but don't rush to put out crap."

:lol

Paint looks decent in those pics. If the beret stays on. But really, why have a beret-less Flint on the shelf?

That was my point about it coming off. If it never came off in the first place would folks sweat it? I mean really sweat, as in it wrecked the figure for them. A berretless Flint would be like an unmasked Storm Shadow or CC.

That idiot in the Hissyfits thread is the poster child for legalized castration. :lol

The overall sloppy paint just tends to piss folks off when they're paying 120+ for a figure... Still, you're all right. Who would ever display Flint sans hat?

And for those who are worried about Beachhead the same applies. No one is going to display him with the EX head... or at least I wouldn't.

The appeal for Beach has always been the mask, for me at least. Coupled with his no nonsense attitude. Learning about Rangers, etc. really put him over the edge though! :lecture

he looks better in those pics. i don't think i would pose him without the beret anyway. and i can't freaking wait for beachhead. he was always neck and neck with snake eyes for favorite joe. just something about that figure i always liked...the mask, the chest rig, everything just looked great.

I'm on my way out but I just had to chime in to say that the paint aps are fine. everyone put away your pitchforks and mob mentality as it turns out the sky is not falling. It's another case of "a million times better in hand" here are some closeups to hopefully illustrate my point. In person he kinda looks like David Boreanez

Yeah, the hairline looks like he misused some Ron Popeil product. But the last Hisstank pics suggested to me that he will look fine in realistic lighting. . .apart from the hair which is kind of a moot issue as others have said. They might as well have sculpted the beret on the head.
