An Eric Bana sculpt of any kind would be nice. HT is too busy making Obama that guy that was supposedly Gambit in that one movie with Hugh Jackman.

Definitely appreciate the heads up, 'FACE. I got the belt I wanted so that'll just about complete Flint... Until I eventually go for a new head and break down and get a him better body. The fun never stops back at HQ.

I actually think the head sculpt that was previewed scrolling around during the G.I. Joe SDCC panel looked like Eric Bana. I think that's going to be the head sculpt for Dusty as well, as the expression of the sculpt looked very similar to the expression on the concept art.

Just in case anyone was curious, I remember some people mentioning a head swap or some such nonsense. Sideshows sculpt is better imo. Anyway......

Thanks for the pics King! I had already come to my senses and realized the head wouldn't work. Was just looking for something to do with the spare head, back to the parts bin it will go.

Still, I hate the Sideshow sculpt. The fish lips, lantern jaw, and poor hair sculpt just don't work for me. Still need to find a satisfactory replacement.

That's where it's from! I've been trying to figure out where for awhile now. But ever since it was shown I've been thinking it would make a great head for a custom Alexander the Great.

I had to blow the photo up to notice. Can't tell at all to the naked eye. I'll say something about it but its not something that stands out looking at it (which I just did).

I opened mine up tonight, I gotta say I am a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I futzed, water treated, removed the tan sling but still I feel ol' Flint is lacking compared to the last 2 releases. No the paint isn't that bad in person but with a little work he does look a lot better. I dunno, something I can't pinpoint that makes me kind of feel meh. I'll see how I feel tomorrow once he is dry. Also you're supposed to end up with extra shotgun shells, right?

Pretty kew figure after futzing with him. Didn't like how the shell bandoliers curled up when on the figure, a couple stitches fix it. But then I decided I want the harness to match the 85 figure, so I use a left over belt and a few scrap straps from the Cobra Officer (yea, the harnesses no one wanted :pfft: ) and made some loops to go onto the belt for that 2 belt look he has. Extended the stock belt a bit and there ya go. Will prolly paint the belt buckle gold, the yellow doesn't look right. But anyway he looks great IMHO.

If you want to go with this look, you could prolly use on of the holster straps, they look long enough to go around the waist.

The patches are nice this time around, they are cloth unlike the plastic that Duke used and stay in place much better.

Bring on Beachhead :yess:

I have a few of those :rock

Finally had a chance to open my Flint and looking at the pictures people posted worried me. But the figure in hand looks a lot better. I can live with the weird looking painted hairline by just keeping the beret on.

hoot was awesome in blackhawk down.

there have been some really good pics of flint but he is definitely one of those sculpts that just looks better in person.

I agree...it looks so much better in hand. I don't really have a problem with it at all with the beret on. And who in their right mind would display him without it.
