I really like this figure, still needs more work; smaller helmet and chrome dome, pouches and box for his belts and I'm molding his gold belt buckle into replacement cape holders.

The cobra logo clasps will look good on top... those plain gold ones look awefull.
Looking forward to seeing it, was already thinking about getting a 2nd belt for that, I like the original buckle on mine too.

Some of the Freaks' photos have done more for me than anything else. Like I said, I'm on the fence. King, your version is awesome. I love the helmet with the Viper shield; the change is subtle but affects his entire appearance. You gave Sideshow's more traditional/classic take on the helmet the modern flare it needed IMO. And I like the crease from the Viper mask, if helps frame the face. Again, awesome job bro.

If I was confident I could do the mod myself, I would get him already. I chose an EX Viper over CC because I couldn't decide and because I couldn't not get another fig alongside Baroness; who's awesome but un-futzable I'll get him eventually, I just was hoping for better straight out of the box.

I dig this. Its the narrow "jawline" that makes it for me. :exactly Surprised they didn't just roll with the Viper mug to begin with.

Meh. I haven't had too much time to work on mine lately. All the various parts are finally in-hand though, and the BP mold is done .

Oh, Rep. Points forthcominng. I have to spread the SSF herpes around a bit more first.

Right now the plan is to kind of merge the two together. I just love love the V1 coat, and I think that, the new Uniform, and the dome could look stellar.

Thanks King! I wish I had an extra Viper head laying around, your's looks awesome and way better than what we got from SSC. The 2nd belt is made from a computer hard drive ribbon and the golden rope things are from the Hobby Lobby ribbon dept. I still have plenty of both if anyone wants some, PM me and we can work something out.

Until I can fix the chrome dome and helmet I'm going to stick with the rag head version, which I really like too and is more to scale with his body.

Some of you might remember that when I first got mine, I found out my eyes were misaligned. To get my replacement from Sideshow, they required me to destroy the defective head. I figured this would be a good opportunity to figure out how this new eye system works. I thought they might be separate, round eyes as that would explain how they got misaligned. Boy was I wrong!

As you can see, there really is no reason the eyes should have been messed up in the first place. They are just painted on like they've always had. Its just a separate layer this time. Weird screw up, huh?

Its even more pronounced with the face seperated. It really does make you wonder how someone at the factory didn't notice that.
