SSC Helmeted Cobra Commander

[EVILFACE]

It was a royal pain in the ***. At no point during the entire process do I think I had made a good decision . I am pretty happy with the end result, but it was by no means a walk in the park.

Incidentally, the Viper shield fits perfectly over the Cobra Commander blank sculpt, Sideshow should have just used a variant of the Viper shield instead of using a lame face plate.

Well, its not perfect. But I can turn his head side to side and there is no half mask with black sculpt showing. Aside from the point in the helmet, I'm really digging the Viper shield. Of course after all the work I put in, how could I say I don't like it .....

Nice job. I like how the chrome wraps around the face better but, I don't like the jaw line and the face plate seems to have less of a crease (for lack of a better word) in the middle. It does look more like the original ARAH card art/figure though which is what you are going for.

I'm kind of disappointed that you don't have the double belt going on.

I can't find a Viper head, so I picked up one of the T-1000 metal heads from the DX13 to replace the stock black head under the helmet. It's shipping from Hong Kong, so I won't be able to try it for a few weeks. Good news is that if it looks okay, the T-1000 heads are pretty cheap right now.

Won't be as good as the Viper mask (nice mod, btw, King) but could be a lot better than stock. It is really odd that Sideshow wouldn't have gone with a fully chromed headsculpt to begin with. Guessing the difference in cost between that and what they did would've been marginal.

Kings mod is awesome but the ridge round the bottom would be more of an issue for me than the mask not wrapping round enough... stock head looks ok head on but the viper mask is always going to have that ridge...
