The cold weather cap is visible on the fig in a few of the SSC site pics.

I think you can make out the cap on the sides of the face, just past the chin strap on both sides, in the figure photo posted above by parrasmaniac.

Cap was definitely visible.

Here's one I took. You can see the cold weather hood inside the helmet:

Thanks guys! That's good news... prefer the grappling hook gun but....

If you look at Rebelscum, the main provider of high quality 1/6 fig pics from various shows, they covered every single company booth at Celebration - including HT (which I assume was part of the SSC booth) - but did not cover Sideshow product itself. Very weird - or ominous.

Were they afraid to show the second head? :panic:

(Not that I'd use it on this figure).

But as I was saying in the Snowie commander thread, they displayed that awfully finished and futzed figure - surely proving no Sideshow supervisor was calling the shots - so I hardly think not showing the head was some kind intentional thing from the top.

:lol

Looks pretty good and looking forward to having this in my collection. I'll swap out the base as I never did like the SS ones. Also not too fused about the normal head sculpt as I'll be displaying this with the helmet

I had $108 in reward points (including $15 they gave out during Celebration), so I went ahead and ordered this. X-Wing Luke is one of my focus areas, even though it's listed as Snowspeeder Luke. He still wears this outfit when he heads to Dagobah, so it still fits in my collection. :lol

Thinking of cancelling TFA Solo for this. Really cool if they get the blaster right as well. Probably not though. Probably just reuse the one they included with HOTH luke.

I wish they would finally show the final head sculpt on this. I have a feeling it's probably just the old one. They didn't want to show that at Celebration. Best to show just the helmeted version. That looks cooler.

Figure looked good in person, my only issue really was the hands look wayyyy too big

One of the problems is that there were two types of gloves used - slightly thicker/bigger ones for actual cold weather and more normal sized for studio/normal temperatures, just like you can clearly see that Luke sometimes has fairly thin/slender boots on Hoth (more like Bespin style) and some very thick/fat.

Mostly they used the thinner kinds, but maybe SSC saw the ref pics of the thicker gloves and went with those. Some pics the gloves do look bigger (a few pics seen below,) but some of it is just distortion. And the SSC hands look bigger than even thse pics show.

Sideshow really seems to be having a lot of problems with the scale of their hands these days. I really hate the jumbo Han/Luke Hoth gloved hands. Kind of works on Han because he's bigger in volume (the jacket is fatter in torso, arms and hood than Luke's, making the hands seem smaller in comparison) and to some degree height, but on more slender/smaller Luke it looks odd.

I hope the reason the hands seem extra big in the Celebration photos is because of lens distortion. In the promo photos the hands don't seem TOO big, so I don't see why they'd change them and go even bigger.

Good point on the thicker clothes for the actual cold, out in the snow scenes. They might've referenced that for the gloves.
