So I was going to get on the waitlist for this guy, but looks like you can't use Sideshow Rewards for a Waitlist product. WTF ?

Or am I doing something wrong ? Anyone waitlisted this guy and used credit points to reduce the price ?

Maybe it's fate that there is a superior HT version coming in the future and the universe is trying to tell me something ! :)

Dude, wait until it's "back in stock" and then buy it with points. This figure isn't going to sell out at all. I believe (as others have said) it's either SS trying to drive demand and entice all the "on the fencers" or they're assessing their inventory. Their X-Wing Pilot is STILL available and eligible for discounts. This one with its high price point and lack of accessories wil be in the same boat.

Good idea. If it won't be available to purchase with points, then it's not meant to be !

I'm not 100% sold on the head sculpt and puffy jacket anyway, hence the use of points to bring the price down.

Ash was near perfection.

Yea I kinda l hoped this was a comeback for SS....with Freddy and Jason coming down the line.

But the way they have handled the compete QC screw ups with Jason and Beetlejuice makes my think they just got lucky......

That head sculpt looks like ***.

SS don't care either they know the helmet will just stay on.

A least they didn't make him look like the Bahamas Luke with a dark complexion like Punisher lol.

Robots and Aliens aside Sideshow has no justification for charging Hot Toys prices for Sideshow quality. They need to take a look at that.

Well one has to take a step back and look at the entire action figure collectible market.

HT quality or not when SS sees Hasbro selling a 6" action figure for $40 and Mezco for $85 you just know that will be met with a price increase.

With world trade renegotiations taking place we just may see a paradigm shift in cost of collectibles.

US might adopt the more expensive european-australian-canadian model or they might actually go down in cost while we go up.

Who knows where all these shifts in tariffs will take everyone.

Yep...don't get me started on that...I had a huge collection of Star Wars 3.75" and 6" Black Series figures and then realized how ridiculous it was that I was paying over $20 per figure at that scale with those paint apps...sold them all and went to exclusively collecting 1/6 scale and have not looked back since!

Yeah, not promising that the only two pics of the head are strongly backlit to diffuse a good viewing.

OMG.....(sigh)

I bet that's EXACTLY what the photographer thought...."I'll backlight this figure to help diffuse the crappy sculpt."

Jezus soneone needs to open a window here and let some fresh air in.....

This IS the fresh air. :lol

I'm still planning to buy it at this point, as stated many times on the other pages. But I can be disappointed that the head is being 'muted' from being able to get a good look at it. Especially since its shipping soon. Thank god for people that still preorder so I can see what it looks like before I buy.

I'm going to remain hopeful that the waitlist thing is temporary and this figure ends up at "Buy Now" status at some point. Would like to cash in some rewards to bring that insane price down (especially considering it would probably cost more than $20. to ship it out to me if the shipping I just paid for two figures recently is any indication).

I like the look of the recent shots...I think it's going to be pretty comparable to the Red Five Luke shown here (that is still available)...

I'd like to keep my "ESB" sixth-scale collection going...and really want to add this one to it. I know the HT fans in here are willing to wait and see if they tackle this version...but not every HT figure has been a "win" in my book...Sideshow can still produce figures I'd like to add to my line-up.

It's just...."interesting"...the games and hoops we're dealing with for this hobby.....
:lol Those gloves just look ridiculous. Looks like Luke has been slaving over an oven all day and is pulling out a fresh batch of something with those big mitts.

To add to the honesty I think anyone who is buying it is having to accept that it is the Snowspeeder Luke that we HAVE...not the Snowspeeder Luke that we WANT...and in some cases that has to do...its ok...it is what it is.

Yeah his gloves are definately a tad oversized.
