I think it looks really good here. That's how it will look on the shelf... and I'm good with it.

I don't like the boots and believe they should have been soft goods, but I plan to muck them up with "snow" effect. I want this as Hoth pilot... since he does one of his best action bits ever in this outfit, helmet on.

Yeah that does look good. The prototype at least was one of the most eye-catching figures at Celebration IMO.

I was pretty surprised to see this waitlisted already...must be a low edition size. i was hoping it would hang around a bit so I could pick it up later. Oh, well....

I love Sideshow but even when Hot Toys does not have a perfect likeness to the actual performer the figure at least looks like a very realistic human...it has been said before but...Sideshow should stick to Aliens and Robots!

Darth maul is on pre-order right now, even though the figure has been out for ages. This is a trick to get more orders and to not have a mountain of lukes they will eventually have to drastically discount. They seem pretty determined to gouge on luke in an orange suit for some reason:dunno

I'm also fine with this:

Because it's likely how he'll look in my display also. Well, maybe holding the saber hilt, since you know, it doesn't come with a grappling gun or anything. That would have just made too much sense. :lol

Well I can't wait. I think it looks good. If it's not great in hand it'll probably be the last Sideshow figure I buy and I've been buying since the start.

Their prices are up so the the quality needs to match.

Iconic Snowspeeder Luke needs to be an 'all in' effort from Sideshow.

I'm hoping the WL is either due to limited run or marketing ploy otherwise; the message being sent to SS isn't good Make an average figure without a lot of accessories and waaaaaaay overcharge collectors and they'll buy it. Don't expect them to change their approach / up their game anytime soon.

It isn't I dislike the figure, it simply doesn't represent what I'd expect in a $300 figure.

I have a feeling it will magically come off of waitlist soon. I just find it hard to believe that at $270 this is already gone when people already were complaining about the price of the Red 5 Luke at $240 and it's still in stock well after release. Unless they produced a lot less. Really this figure isn't that much better in my opinion. The outfit is maybe more iconic than just the regular X-Wing gear but it doesn't warrant the price point however you look at it.

This waitlist thing is a ploy. Today's newsletter has "new" hoth Luke pics advertised in it. Why advertise something thats already waitlisted, which is in theory a step short of sold out. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they can count how many people click on the new pics links add that combined with how many people jump on the waitlist to give them an idea of how many more to order for the second run so they don't sit on these forever...

You can't even find the waitlist on their site though--have to search via google. Doesn't seem like they're going to draw in a ton of people with that tactic. In the past that was often a sign of an item actually going to waitlist.

It's easier then ever. Nowadays when you type something in if it's available it shows but at the top it gives you a link to expand your search. It says "try searching the archive" One extra click and there it is. Couldn't be more simple
It used to be you had to go to the bottom and find the archive from one of the drop downs.

Ssc have remade figures that had edition sizes attached to them. They are capable of anything when it comes to cash grabs. Bummer about this iconic look for luke and the snowtrooper commander. Maybe a HT in 5 years but by then the price will be at least as bad.

If you type in star wars on the search bar there is an icon that takes you to all the star wars stuff. This figure is still at the bottom with the other waitlist stuff.
