I spoke with sideshow today after signing up on the wait list and they said they are sold out and these will not be reordered. So according to them my only chance are cancellations..

So do I give it some time or use the 30 dollar coupon and free shipping and get x-wing luke... Any advice guys

Many thanks. From your pic, it looks like part of height difference comes from the neck.

Well, obviously the height difference comes from Luke's capture by the Wampa. I mean he was hanging upside down for awhile, so it's obvious his body stretched a bit. So therefore it's logical that he's slightly taller in his Hoth flight suit than his Yavin X-Wing flight suit from ANH......

That's my question as well. The helmets definitely look different in those pics. I actually prefer how it looks on X-Wing Luke.

Super duper grainy pics for now. I'll do better ones tomorrow. But once again, it's always better to ignore the hysterics here as this is a great figure. I for one really like the feel of Sideshow figures and they seem to be upping their game somewhat.
Still very tight not to include a snowy base though.

Boy, I guess the car accident also caused him to grow 6 inches I mean seriously, how hard is it to use the same ****ing body as the previous Luke... it was already made and made well, don't give him a new giant body

BTW, does anyone know if the gloves are the same size (or even same sculpts) as the Hoth ones? I get that they should be bulkier; but they were still way too big. And these look similarly monstrous in size.

It is quite dark. It defo could use some white blotches on there to break that up and be more screen accurate. Which I may actually do.
I will also say that his pants could have more paint apps like his top does.

X-Wing Luke's helmet also had the heavy-handed, overly uniform weathering. A Q-Tip and rubbing alcohol in key spots moved some of the grime around, removed it in other places...brightened it up, made it look closer to screen-accurate. Huge improvement on the look of the figure. Chakaman actually did a full repaint if I recall.

Nice, I did the alcohol rub on R2 and it really improved the dome so I'll have to try it on the X-Wing helmet i have. I prefer this snowspeeder Luke to the X-wing, but I still can't believe it's really waitlisted and going to sell out. I'm okay missing out if that's the case, too many other figures to worry about.

Seems like the weathering on his helmet in quite a few shots in ESB were weathered differently. The promo shot of the helmet is really dark. The weathering on his helmet varied on Hoth in the flying shot in the snowspeeder, after he crashed, and when he jumped in the X-Wing to fly to Dagobah. The look of the helmet in ANH looks to be completely different.

To be fair with the glove complaints, I'm in the military and our "extreme cold weather" gloves are thick as hell. You can wear a thick pair of gloves UNDER them.

Have you seen the Kim Jong Un action figure? There's a thread in the General section. The company is calling him 'Respectable Person'.

Well crap. I really dropped the ball on this one. I thought I had ordered it and I wondered why I wasn't getting any notifications and turns out I never pre-ordered the damn thing. Crossing my fingers that my waitlist reservation comes through otherwise I'll have to get it from eBay from someone with no soul.

This figure does look pretty great (with the helmet on that is). Sorry I missed out but there are soooo many new amazing figures coming out.. tough choices have to be made. Adulting is hard!

They still should have gone with this blaster for the exclusive though instead of a reproduction of the HOTH version blaster (which he never actually used on HOTH.) The leg strap would have been a nice touch as well. Curious as to why they didn't include it?
