The hair is what looks particularly bad. The bangs are too flat/straight and blocky. Crude if you will. Bangs remind me of jim carrey in dumb and dumber. Luke had wispy hair. It might be a good sculpt underneath but I can't tell?

I didn't know it was out for early delivery today so I missed it. It was originally scheduled for Friday, so I guess I'll end up getting it tomorrow afterall. Bummed as I really want to check it out but it looks good in the pictures so far.

why didn't they weather the jacket or ... anything.

The jacket is slightly weathered and looks good in person, but it's not showing the pics. Could always be dirtier, but I'm fine with it.

Yes, it is, but unless you pull the white piece over you can't even see it. I didn't know it was there until I read your post, but it is correctly done.

Those are probably the best pictures of the unhelmeted sculpt I've seen, but it still just doesn't look very good to me. It almost looks like they were trying to copy the DX07 clean sculpt, but failed.

Bummed that this figure is not included in the 40th Anniversary $30 off deal. That would have put him in an almost acceptable price range.

Oh well I am patient.

Well it did just come out. I do remember though that the Sideshow Darth Maul was eligible for a $25 or $30 discount shortly after being released though so who knows. Curious if this is truly on waitlist or if it's going to start becoming more available again soon.

It looks nice and it will be great to have in my collection, but if I couldn't get it due to limited quantities I don't think I'd be too heart broken now. I think SS could have done a slightly better job all around.

So do I give it some time or use the 30 dollar coupon and free shipping and get x-wing luke... Any advice guys

I would take Snowspeeder Luke over X-Wing Luke, since you can basically convert him to X-Wing Luke, by removing his jacket and giving him some black boots and gloves. You can't really do it the other way round.

If we were talking even money you are right on the nose. But I got my X-Wing luke off ebay for $120 less than what they are asking for snowspeeder luke. That's the problem here.

Don't get me wrong x-wing luke is nice but there is substantial more detail to snowspeeder luke...

But there is one thing that stinks about snowspeeder luke is that you can't pose him holding his helmet

Well you know X-Wing Luke isn't selling out anytime soon so I would wait a few weeks.

I'm not sure if it's the paint apps, but that bare head sculpt just doesn't look like Luke/Hamill to me. But the one in the helmet does.

It's the same issue I have with my X-Wing Luke. Helmeted sculpt is on display. Bare head is somewhere in my spare parts bin.

I suspect if you'd be looking for a long time in the parts bin for the bare X-wing Luke head.
