The Red 5 Luke is a way better deal in my opinion. While its a more bare bones figure it can also be had much cheaper. You can get it for $209 (free shipping and it qualifies for the current $30 Star Wars 40th Anniversary code) as opposed to this figure which has more but itps $269 plus probably another $20 or so for shipping.

I suspect if you'd be looking for a long time in the parts bin for the bare X-wing Luke head.

Believe it or not, I actually did go into the parts bin looking for the bare head Luke sculpt! I found out along with a spare Luke gun belt/holster and light saber. I'm thinking of upgrading my X-Wing Luke with the belt/holster.

What? . I'm still convinced many more are on the way. But if I don't get one I won't be heartbroken. The pics just posted by Dr Nash confirm to me the difference between xwing and snowspeeder on the shelf is pretty negligible.

Now I see... Not much difference in shelf presence... with the money saved I could pick up a HT luke head... would an HT head fit in the sideshow body though

I would not go as far as to say MUCH BETTER, but it is definitely better with helmet. I was always a fan of X-Wing Luke's sculpt. But, like HT Obi-Wan, SS got Snowspeeder Luke spot on (with helmet). He's a really great figure and if I had to pick between the two, I'd pick Snowspeeder Luke in a heartbeat!

Eh, aside from the height difference, I'm not sure I can say R5 Luke is far better than RG Luke. The helmeted sculpt on RG Luke is definitely better though I think, except in the flash photo. Neither sculpt looks very good there.

To be fair with the glove complaints, I'm in the military and our "extreme cold weather" gloves are thick as hell. You can wear a thick pair of gloves UNDER them.
