I just hope this isn't the end of the Marvel line. DC seems dead at this point as we haven't even seen the Flash for over a year now. I'm thinking GL will be the last of that line. And Wolverine is the last from this line we've seen, although the Punisher was a new surprise for SDCC and he somehow bumped Wolverine for the second figure slot, so that is hopeful for more still coming!

It seems they are putting more effort on the Marvel figures, at lest that is what I am seeing with the Deadpool figure. Way better than Batman and Superman. And this Wolverine seems to be going the same way. Maybe Disney has something to do with that?

I agree. Sideshow seems to see more potential in the Marvel line than DC - the Deadpool and Punisher figures have a lot more going on aesthetically. I would assume this would mean more involved/man hours/expense put into design concepts, materials and engineering/tailoring research, etc. I know the Wolverine figure was delayed because of the re-engineering of the torso (for what purpose I don't know - probably removable arms). As much as we nit-picked about Deadpool, it seemingly sold well. Hoping Punisher gets a better response once people have it in-hand, and although the Wolverine hs was not what I was hoping, I'm okay with it, and really really stoked for the reveal tomorrow. I think this figure has huge potential, and I hope it carries this line into some notoriety SO WE CAN GET MORE FIGURES SOONER! PLEASE!

I want both Punisher and Wolverine, while the only DC fig I wanted was Gotham Knight. I changed my mind after seeing in hand pics... The body looks so toyish compared to the realism of HT. Makes me think of a 12 inch Hasbro or something. It'll look like a joke compared to the Affleck Batman figure.

Definitely agree that more attention seems to be going into the Marvel line.

I'd have to respectfully disagree. The Blue/Grey Batman is a great figure, great outfit, decent body, lots of accessories. Although some didn't like the Superman (for being less bulky than Batman), he as well is a pretty excellent figure for the same reasons. The disappointment in the Green Lantern and the recent issues with the Black/Grey Batman are the problems with their DC line

The problem I have with the Batman figure is the head. The cowl looks good but the ears are too long and have a curve, although slight, to them. Then the hydeous mouthplates, looks like Will Ferrell Batman.

The Superman figure was messed up by the body they used and the red shorts (or is it overwear). It still boggles my mind as to why the heck did they not use the same body as Batman. It was a no brainer and there was no need for a new body.

The Joker figure is exceptional. No complains besides the body which I switched to a narrow shoulder and looks better with.

Deadpool is amazing despite the complains on the suit. Best figure they have done in my opinion.

Punisher looks good overall besides some stupid decisions in the costume.

And for now, Wolverine looks that it will be better than Deadpool. I just do not want rubber arms.

I wasn't saying it was a bad figure, far from it. It is fun to pose, the tailoring is great, lots of accessories, love the engineering on the boots, the cape drapes great, the body looks great, even the packaging looks great. My only complain is in the head and mouthplates.

Having said all that, Deadpool is better and Wolverine looks to be great as well.

I think the difference is just in the overall design of the figures. Not effort or amount of time spent on them becuase one is DC and one is marvel.

That is another thing I was going to talk about, the DC figures seem to be going for a pure comic feel whereas the Marvel ones are mixed with some amount of 'realism' to them.

But still, they seem to be taking better decisions on the 1/6 Marvel line than the DC one in regards to headsculpts and body.

I hope this isn't the end.I'd like to see a Spiderman figure not based off a film for once!

Seriously? How can you even compare the two? This one is based on a comic book. Of couse the Hot Toys have to look realistic, they are based on real actors playing characters.

Not really. They are still pure comic, nothing realistic about them. Which is how they should be. Don't want my comic figures looking like actors.

Yeah, I don't agree with all that. I think they're trying to do what Alex Ross does, but in physical form. They just don't really have the skill or quality to pull it off.

Especially with Superman, it took Tony Mei to make that thing look acceptable.

Not really, the body is way exaggerated like the comics. They might have tried to implement a little "realistic" design on the figures. But the overall look is still comic book as it should be.

Btw, I agree, Tony improves this figures a lot.

I've heard mixed reviews on a lot of different SSC products and a lot of people seem to agree that their stuff is usually a step or two below HTs but yet their prices are comparable. I have very high hopes for this line, as I would love for it to be successful and expand to where we get figures like Doom or Juggernaut or Omega Red. I just hope the quality is there. I never cared for any of their DC products that they've made so far. We'll see I guess.
