The fangs are WAY out of control. Instead of looking just a BIT too long and disconcerting, he looks like a full-on demon.

It's too over the top and probably could be easily fixed at the production level.

Wow! You're right. Indistinguishable. Good catch. :hi5:

The Mego comment was an obvious exaggeration, but no one is going to convince me that this figure is worth the $250 price tag. Though considering Sideshow's excellent record with their quality 1/6 figures (sarcasm--in case you don't catch that either), I'm surprised they didn't charge $275. This figure is $10 more than the SS Punisher? Why? Because you get a bunch of elbows and two HS? The Hot Toys Ant-Man figure is $15 less, will be better quality, has two HS (one with a freaking light feature and one with actor likeness), and a mini-Ant-Man figure--but no awesome elbows so I guess the price should be lower. :cuckoo: Even Sideshow's own Deadpool figure that had price complaints is $20 lower and included a lot more accessories and 2 HS. But, ER MAH GERD--IT'S WERLVUREEN! so the price jump is obviously justified.

I am definitely buying this figure, I really like the way it turned out overall but the sword isn't a deal breaker for me and I really don't like the Logan sculpt so I might try to get my hands on this from an AD and try to keep the cost lower.

Just wondering what you mean by better quality? The Ant-Man piece is very nice as well as screen-accurate but, with the film being in very recent memory, I look at it and it's not something I go crazy over. On the other hand, I'm staring at the Wolverine one in awe. I guess it could have something to do with favoritism as I don't think Ant-Man is anywhere near Wolverine/X-Men and I thought the film was enjoyable but average. That aside, they're both going for two very different looks and I don't see the quality difference. Is it something you need to see side by side, can you explain? Thanks.

Like all 1/6 now, price sucks. The one thing you you have to look at is while the quality of this figure when released may or may not be 'hot toys quality', it's the only licensed 1/6 comic Wolverine available. Sure there are some great Jackman offerings, but not comic. If anything, you can always grab the parts that are nice and use to create your own custom. But that would prolly end up surpassing the $250 of this figure.

Love everything but how baggy the outfit is. The sleeves look ridiculous.
Hopefully they will fix that. Will need to see In-Hand photos before buying this.

By better quality I mean that, for the most part, HT figures have less quality control issues than SS figures (at least in my experience). SS has consistent issues with body joints being weak and head sculpts being awful. Most prices for 1/6 figures are probably higher than they should be, but SS definitely price their figures higher than the quality/content deserves. Look at their DC comic line. Batman and Superman were $200 figures. Compare what you get with Superman to what you get with Wolverine. $50 more for what? I'm probably just being a crotchety old man, and maybe everyone is fine with the price but me, but I don't think these comic book line figures should be more than $200. I was happy to hear SS was producing these type of figures for Marvel until I saw the prices.

This figure looks great but I'll wait the 2 1/2 months in order to use the discount code. It says $32 to the east coast and that's ridiculous for a 1/6 figure. I am pretty sure that exclusive will still be around for a long time due to the price.

Looking at the unmasked portrait more, I think it'd make a HUGE difference if the eyes weren't SO far apart. Looks alien or demon-like, as others have pointed out.

Is there a 1/6 head sculpt out there right now that could be painted to match this figure? Ideally with a clenched cigar?

When I search I mostly come up with the Hot Toys Jackman sculpts, none of which are in masks.

I don't find that Hot Toys have had the best QC (in my experience either). Actually, I have far more SSC figures than Hot Toys ones, and almost all of my Hot Toys have had some QC (some very minor) issues, and luckily for me (I guess), I only had one sideshow figure with QC issues. That said, I would agree that typically the quality of sculpt, paint, and tailoring is better/higher quality with Hot Toys.
But I fully agree with the prices going up. All 1/6 prices are going up, but I'm was wondering if this is SSC or Disney. Looking at the jump in prices particularly with Star Wars and Marvel figures is pretty staggering. But then again, my only complaint about the SSC Green Lantern figure is the price for what you get. Like you've said, the SSC Batman and Superman figures come with an awful lot of display options, and were significantly less expensive, so I guess it probably is just new Sideshow pricing.
Didn't stop me from pre-ordering as soon as it was available, but I'd be hardpressed to continue buying Sideshow figures (directly from Sideshow) at full pricing.

I am only getting this figure because it is a grail figure for me. After that I'm going hot toys or pass. I pre ordered mine day one but that was the last sideshow I'm buying. With maul going up in price and down in accessories and the new vader being 240.00 barebones it's safe to say I'm done with sideshow. On a side not can't wait for ht deadpool;)

Your kinda mixing things up. You asked if it was ssc or Disney who affected prices and then talked about three DC characters. None of which are owned by Disney. So, obviously Disney had nothing to do with it.

As for how superman and/or batman (ssc version) could come with more and cost less...it's not complicated. Both superman and batman are significantly more popular, and that means more sales, which equals a higher production run. Which means the price per figure is lower. (The whole process of figuring prices is a bit more complicated and factors a lot more in, but this shows how it can happen)

Wolverine is one of the most popular Marvel characters. If popularity factors into pricing then he should be cheaper than Punisher, but he's not so I call ********. Superman came with 3 head sculpts, two capes, extra hands, and a fancy stand (though no fancy new extra elbows) and was $50 less. Regardless of whatever pricing rationale people that are supposedly "in the know" make up, SSC's prices for these Marvel comic version figures are too high.

He's one of the most popular Marvel and comic characters, ever. But to have him more expensive than Superman is just crazy. I'm not the biggest Supe fan, but I can recognize who's got more clout with fans with this comparison.

I'm still not sold on the figure, and I really hate both headsculpts.
