His torso does look too skinny. The Metallo head is a great accessory though. Can't wait to get him but wish SS would have had at least one Superman villain. What is it with them avoiding the Superman characters? I'd love to see Lex Luthor, Bizarro, Doomsday, or Metallo.

Maybe because sups doesn't need to look buff since with a simple flick of a finger he can toss someone through a wall. But I'm giving my sups the Arnold body.

The older lex had a power center in same spot as iron man

To quote an old Private Eye, "That fish is 2 weeks old and I ain't buyin' it."

Superman is a home grown farmer's boy who grew up eating meat and potatoes. He's naturally big. It doesn't hurt that he was nourished by the Sun's solar rays his whole life. Just not enough muscle mass here. I'll swap the bodies between Supes and Batman. Aesthetically it will look more "correct" to me. The body they used for Superman looks great just more in the line of an athletic ninja like Batman. Also, if Power Girl is blessed with a rockin' figure shouldn't her cousin?

Forget that he's skinny, why are his nipples showing trough the costume? :slap

I was thinking of doing the same thing after seeing the Con pictures.

My big question though: Will the suit be removeable?

I don't know what it is, but I'm just not feeling any of these 1/6 DC figures so far. I don't know if it's the bodies they're using, or the fact the simpler comic book costumes aren't translating as well to 3D as some of the more detailed movie costumes...

I'm a major Supes fan, but this figure just seems a little too simple and basic somehow.

It's because there isn't a flaming logo on Superman. If Hot Toys offering this as is, people would be lined up and 2000 more posts in this thread.

It might be like harleys which means carefully removing and hand stitching back on new body. that's what I'm doing if there isn't a zipper. I am curious if he is flesh colored all the way through for use for custom bashing when i replace body with this HT Arnold i have waitning to use ever since i saw his add on sideshow since 2012-13

I'm with you there. I fully plan on using the body, it's just not what I would consider the best choice for Superman. It would work on many other heroes or customs. I would love it to be flesh toned underneath but after Harley and Catwoman I am ready if he has that black plastic that we all love. It's a nice suit, too. The musculature really comes through.

This is a nice body I might use it to make a Green Arrow since it has that slim muscular build. that's why i am hoping for more flesh tone.

Well it looks like Sideshow has a 1/6 Iron Man down the pipe, if they are doing an armored body there why not Lex in his super suit here? Besides Lex in his power suit Lex in a suit of armor are the only 2 versions I would want. And yes, Supes looks too thin especially next to Sideshow Batman. I guess in the Sideshow universe Superman is thinner than Batman.

And there is so many dress suit's out there an extra head could be used for business dio
