Silent surfer painted the head! So i find it hard to beleave that's this is why it dosnt look great!

Now that you mention it, I do remember something about that and Nathan saying that the head at SDCC was different from the head he painted too.

Correct, he painted the closed mouth portrait in the teaser but not the one on display at Comic Con.

Can't wait to see more pics. Fingers crossed that this isn't another fantastic sculpt ruined by crappy paint apps. I want HT quality for the head, the rest is just some robes.

Sorry guys maybe you can help me out...I thought Hot Toys was going forward with the "human" sculpts for Star Wars.
Personally I have no interest in SS human likeness. They don't hold up well against HT caliber. I sold my Anakin, ROTJ Luke, Mace and Qui Gonn because I no longer wanted to display them with my HT.

Hot Toys are only allowed to do figures that SS has already done and at the rate that HT are doing these SW figures, I am not holding my breath.

In fact I have been trying to buy back all these SS figure I sold off or passed on because I felt they are not up to HT standards but the reality is, under all the crappy paint are really good sculpts and with a body change, I honestly think HT might have trouble doing better.

And the fact that all these SS figures are quite cheap now helps.
