Would assume a direct connect with watch batteries in the forearm, would definitely save the trouble of wiring up the arm to the body.

That's my guess as well... figure looks great. But really surprised/dissapointed they'd take so many steps forward only to step back and gives us a cheap-o a plastic belt :huh

Was the proto plastic?

Proto was plastic as well.

While leather would be great, the original belts of PT Obi and Anakin (Qui gon too maybe? Never owned him) were a little out of scale at least for the "buckle" and the leather attached to it. I still would've preferred leather just like the rest of yall but I see why SS went with plastic. At least it doesn't look as bad as Medi's plastic belt

Hope the sculpt comes out with a repaint. Your pic reminds me of how of the hair color on obi made the sculpt look, cause guys have been able to make that thing a masterpiece! At least mine does with nothing more than a brilliant repaint! That proto head on ep 1 obi was PERFECT I thought.

Will have to check the fodder pile for a leather belt. It's this type of **** that makes me wish SS would kit out their accessories! Y'all want me to drive to thousand oaks and demand some leather belts? ....I'm..... I'm going.... GIVE ME MY LEATHER BELT! :rotfl

Wow goes to show just how bad Sideshow's factory paints used to be and how far they've come.

yeah ultimately I agree. It was just a surprise.

For sure, it's a nit. But the great thing about the leather belt, scale not withstanding, it added a bit of realism and integrity same as the metal for the Chogokin 3PO. Is it needed, not really, but for those who appreciate that aesthetic value, it's the ****. Trust me, I'm an architect and I wish every client that wanted a stone cornice on their building, ACTUALLY wanted stone. Alas, 90% of the time they opt for stucco covered foam.:slap What real about that!

Gotta love that EP3 Ewan head - looks like a younger bearded Anthony Hopkins. :lol

Hilarious :rotfl

Woot woot! Me too! :hi5:

Yes but I work in CA.. specifically Orange county... lots of things ain't real out here. Ever hear of Hollywood? :cuckoo:

Glad to meet another architect on the board! My bro, Lee in MI, is an archy as well, if you ever run into him here.

Sadly had to cancel this guy yesterday...need to get a new roof instead :-( Still looking forward to how he turns out in hand. Hopefully I can pick one up down the road.

Good points on the plastic belt... as long as it looks good it's probably okay. But seeing how great the belt and holster looked on the HT Luke turned out I was interested to see how this one would be.

Still, since this appears to be the actual figure we'll be getting the belt does look good.

I plan and using a 1-part mold to copy the belt accessories for when I build him a faux leather belt. :D

Well at least this one comes with all of the promised accessories. :lol

Ah, just saw that... very odd. Why does Sideshow have to do stuff like that? Release a great looking piece, then jab you with a quick gut shot :lol :huh
