I am looking forward to the light-up saber as a mere curiosity. But I know I will never use it again once I try it that one time.

Yeah, it's a novelty... but doesn't seem like it jacked up the price (at least compared to other Sideshow 1/6 offerings) and at leas the blade seems to fully illuminate.

But like Pix it will probably stay in the box, or maybe hidden behind Kenobi so I can pop it out when guests are over.

Hmm, I'm slightly different, I can see myself having it on quite a bit. Especially if the glow is constant. I don't see how the figure would be better off without it, though. Would the price be lower, more accessories?

meh, i'm just hating on it, as i see light-up gimics in toys as something thats not needed personaly. That, and i'm not a fan of the medi-esque blade it seems to have. but in the end, it's all opinion.

I'd probably agree in most instances but, it's a lightsaber! If anything should light up it's that.

I guess i'm the only one to prefer the thicker blade too, ha ha. The thin blades have always been a nitpick of mine. Comparing it to qui gon's blade in that picture, I prefer obi's. More accurate imo.

Totally agree with you Rob. The old blades look as thin as the sticks that represented the blade while shooting. When you see the light saber on screen, it looks pretty uniform until it rounds off or tapers on the end

I have the Medi light up sabres. Turn it on once and never bother again. I don't think the overall shape and design should be sacrificed for the light up function.
