The light up saber is neat but it's pretty hokey compared to a cathode saber. I won't be turning it on often or bothering to buy batteries for it. It's just not worth it.

For me unless all the figures are on a universal switch to turn on the blades it's a useless function, I'm not opening all my cabinets for 5mins of battery time

Yeah, I could have done without the light up saber. For the most part the light up effects don't interest me too much. I may check them out when I first get them, but after that I never turn them on.

Question for those with in hand, I'm still waiting on mine to arrive but does the belt look that bad in hand.
It doesn't look too bad in the pics taken.
I can imagine it being a pain that it not very flexible like the leather ones but ill admit i had a few leather ones on older Jedi figures that weren't very good.
The last one i got on an Anakin Ep3 was in pieces when i got it, i had to glue the whole thing back together.

I haven't been following this thread but just got this guy. I expected to come in here and read how incredible it is that we have this giant leap for 1/6 Star Wars with the ignited saber - but petty complaints about belts and boots seems to be the norm.

Ah well - I'M JAZZED ABOUT THE IGNITED SABER! I know that customizers have been doing it for a while - but a mass market 1/6 figure with an ignited blade is just too cool! It's as bright and nice looking as any PF or even the Cinemaquette.

I hope they go back and redo Jedi Luke, Qui-Gon, Maul, old Ben with ignited blades.

Just so this post won't seem TOO positive - his neck is too long...

Petty comments? I love the figure.... aaaaaand the belt is a step down. The lightsaber is a step down. The neck is too long.

Other than that it is a great figure. How is that petty? They are just observations. (Or am I taking your comments too much to heart? :dunno)

Nobody buys Medicom though.
^Biggest apologist ever. SS does no wrong ever Dave! :slap

How is it petty when it's a step down in quality?

It's not a giant leap for 1/6 Star Wars either. Medicom's already done it.

Seriously.

Congrats to those that enjoy this!:peace (I'd nab it if it was into PT)

Here, here!

Or to paraphrase a certain Grand Moff..."This petty bickering is pointless..."

Get us some pictures! hehe

:goodpost:

When he arrives by the end of next week (around the 4th) I'm going to take some shots to compare him to my custom that I've had now for a couple of years. I'll post them when they're taken.

It turned out pretty good, $150 is steep but probably due to the gimmicky saber function that I couldn't care less about.

No rush for me to pick this one up but glad they rounded out all the Obi incarnations.

Cool. I thought Sunhoc (?) did a good job on that one. I can't wait to see a side by side.

Yes, it was from Sunhoc (and despite some Charlie Sheen comments I thought a very nice version). Here are a couple of old pics with that one. I'll post the comparison shots as soon as my new SSC one arrives.

If I used the spring2013 code on this will I still get the rewards points from the figure?
I know if you use rewards points for a purchase, you don't get the points.
I'm not sure if it's the same for a code though.

I've he Sunhoc version too. It's been good but the new one looks better. Can't wait.
