I'd definitely dig your ref pics....

and holy cow! Yup, there it is. A 2nd 'bottle.' I've never noticed that ever before. There is no 2nd bottle on the sideshow one

I'll upload the pics I have in the next day or so, but the second bottle is visible in these two googled pics.

You can see its harsh reflection on the left chest area of the ESB screencap - I think I always assumed that a single bottle had slid into that position, but if you look closely, you can see that one bottle is on its side with reflection, other other is pointing straight upward so we can just see its base.

And you can see the second bottle laying on the left side of the package image here, just to the left of the more visible bottle:

That one on the left is really good - thanks.

Damn, any suggestions on what we can use on the 2nd bottle? Guess, a casting from the sideshow one would work - I am just lazy

So going by this pic (which can be a larger image than what is posted):

I decided to add a bit of a wash to the recessed areas - probably gonna dial it down a bit with a later coat

and since I like Zuckuss with boots, I am gonna cheat a tad. All BH except her will get the current, standard stand. Zuckuss will get the thinner, older one. It achieves the effect, and it's good for me

501st costume link is helpful

and if this is accurate, there is supposed to be metal at the back of the head?!?!?!?

The head looks great. Going to mess with this tonight after work, thanks for sharing.

You can cast it in clear resin. That's what I did for the Han in carbonite light up panel. Its looks smoky because I sand it down a bit, but it comes out clear like glass.

Thanks, Lopie - yeah, that is a great idea. I've watched enough of the casting tutorials on youtube that I feel pretty good in trying. Given its such a small piece, I know I can use a small tubaware container as the housing for the mold.

Wow - looks awesome! The color palette is looking great. Are you planning to weather the jacket or just leave it as-is? In ref pics it seems almost like it has light splatters of pale or silver paint on it.

In looking at the ref pics I have (many of which are on google, though a few I have are slightly better quality,) it almost looks like his head is black or dark brown in the areas surrounding the silver metal mouthpiece and whole forehead area.

Lopie: awesome

I've noticed those black areas but unclear if that's the mask or lighting. I even looked at my SW costumes book, but alas, nothing on this character

One thing I did with my robe: sprayed it with a gloss coat - pretty happy with how that looks.....

So how are y'all shortening him other than taking the boots off?

Rest get the new stand; zuckuss gets the old one - all on the shelf, and zuckuss looks way shorter this way before anyone realizes its a cheat

I did, I cut the legs 1.5 inches. He stands about 10.5 inches now.

That is way too hardcore for me...lol

Yeah, that's actually about the right height - in ref pics, it seems like Zuckuss only comes up to 4-LOM's "nose" (or shower head nozzle or whatever it is.)

And looks like Bossk is screaming "cheat!" there.:lol
