The first trailer didn't do anything for me. However I'm now psyched to see this!

what is the meaning of this?

Rumor is the movie is really bad and they threw this in it to try and help ticket sales:pfft:. And it looks like it back fired since George is pissed about it. Although I'm a Trekkie, I wouldn't go see this crap. JJ Arams already ruined it and also star wars.

I didn't like the 2009 reboot of Trek and Into Darkness was just a blatant rip off, things which JJ seems to do well, copy other peoples things. I won't say he RUINED Star Wars (thank god he isn't directing Episode VIII) but he for sure torpedoed any more Trek things for me. I have zero desire to see Star Trek Beyond and I was really ambivalent on the whole Trek 'reboot' anyway. I've been a fan from the syndicated runs of TOS from the late 70s and the 80's movies and JJ just jacked up the franchise if you ask me. He's a very un-inventive director.

Wow, studios are stupid.
That last ad on Krall gives away waaaay too much insight.

That's funny because one of the only negative reviews I've seen was from Entertainment Weekly and the reviewer thought Krall's motivations were revealed too late in the movie.

Im not talking motivations, I'm referring to physical transformations.

Seeing people mentioning Chekov's death yesterday prompted me to google it. I thought that maybe I had forgotten that his character died in Into Darkness or something. I had no idea that the actor himself died. Crazy. Sounded like a bizarre Mr. Futterman/Gremlins death.

Everytime i watch a STB trailer i keep looking for Tom Cruise and wait for the Mission Impossible theme....

Believe me, if they did the movies the way most die hard fans wanted them to be, only those fans would go and see it. They have to appeal to a large audience now. I've enjoyed all shapes and forms of Trek, and I really like this cast. I am glad they went for a new director though, hopefully we can lose the lens flares now (though since JJ is producing, he'll probably ask for a couple).
