Awsome, cloud city.

The one thing I didn't like about the last one was how limited it was in choosing characters. Meaning, you picked the empire, you couldn't choose to be a Royal Guard. Or you were given a mandatory jedi character for a certian level. I hope that all changes.

Impressive Battlefront 3 Tech May Never See Light of Day
Written Friday, January 16, 2009 by Dan Webb

An ex-employee of Free Radical today told Spong that the impressive Battlefront 3 footage we posted yesterday was in fact legit, but chances are that version may never see the light of day.

The tech in yesterday's video showed off some pretty impressive transition capabailities, but the former employee states that they won't be included in the final game. He states "It's genuine. However, it's my understanding that the game's been passed to a new developer, but the tech that allowed you to fly from the ground, to air, to orbit, to space dies with Free Radical's involvement. The new developer will be making it a cutscene every time you want to transition from ground to space."

If you missed the footage yesterday, check it out here, but don't get your hopes up too high, the finished product seems like it could be totally different to that on show.

It's not being shelved, it's just being handed off to a different company. They're just saying that the state it was in while it was at Free Radical is not how it is anymore now that it's at Rebellion Entertainment.

"It looks like we're never going to be able to play that game."

"Worse still, the tech that allowed you to fly from the ground to air and then into orbit stayed with Free Radical. The new developer, the source says, will now be using cutscenes."

"No word if that made the hand-off."

"And now a moment of silence for what would have been a great game."

from a certain point of view, this version of the game is shelved. great article here... https://xbox360.ign.com/articles/946/946015p1.html

Doesn't sound that way at all. I feel their sentiments exactly that the game would be much better if they could have been able to keep where you could start out on the planet and fly into space, but they're talking about that feature, not the whole game.

Battlefront II was really successful, it would take a lot to cancel a sequel.

Even though its just conceptual I would definitely buy that Sith Obi-Wan.

I think the game will come out.......just not by Free Radical and the way it was originally intended to be.
