For PC you can get a discount at GreenManGaming.com they'll always have some kind of online coupon going on (got it for $40 there)

For console, you might be able to get a discount on Amazon if you're a Prime member, sometimes they have discounts that way.
There's no retailer exclusive items. For consoles there's not much chance of a good discount before the end of the year since it's pretty close to Christmas already

Despite the mixed reaction, I read that Greenman gaming have already exhausted their keys for Battlefront. You can still order it there, but you wont get it on release day... Such is the power of the hype train that is star wars.

Yeah, they're out of keys though they'll have it in the next couple of days. I'm not concerned since I have it coming on PS4 as well so I'll still be able to play.

On greenmangaming they've got it full price, but there's a 15% off code you can use. And a while back they had a 33% code for Battlefront, so they'll probably have a bigger discount than 15% in the future.

There's no classes, you just choose the items you like to use. There's something like 24 weapons to unlock, I haven't gone through all of them but some have more damage but lower firing rate, etc. There may be one that's more like a sniper rifle, though probably not quite like the rechargeable one since that's a special ability that should be more powerful than the standard weapons.
You can customize your character, there's something like 10 faces each with variations you can choose and then a few different alien types.

Ah gotcha . I just hope theres plenty of variation between the weapons... thanks buddy

Honestly I think they are saving the rest of the content til after the new movie is released.

From my impression there's more than 12, most of the modes have a version for each planet, but I would guess some of those maps are reused for different modes, I'm not sure which maps are reused. The biggest issue is that it's just 4 planets, so even if there's a different map then it's going to look like the other maps from the same planet.

I'm looking forward to the DLC that will come--I'm guessing we'll get stuff from The Force Awakens, like whatever that forest planet is with the blown up castle, and then maybe the snow planet. It'll be cool to be able to fly the new vehicles.

The first review is up, and blow me, it isn't an obviously paid for 10/10... For those who don't have the time, it essentially says what I've been sayong all along, this is style over substance and while fun for a while, has no longevity.

I think where they have really gone wrong is with the price, you can't make half a game and still charge the full rate with an equally expensive season pass on top when the maps should just be in the base game.

I expected that rate... still looking forward to this game..Beta was fun and i dont have much time to play so for me this will last a long while before getting boring to me And if I like to get certain DLCs.. I will get them later on if I feel to.. Jakku is coming never the less in december.

That's what's holding me back from purchasing it.4 maps,with 3 mode options on each is just too little for that price,specially when you played the heck out of 2 of them in the Beta.
If anyone could post their thoughts about just that as soon as they have the game in hand,i would appreciate it.Kinda want it confirmed before i purchase.

I believe it comes with 4 planets each 4 maps.. thats 16 different places to fight at.. Jakku is coming in december..means another 4 maps

As a PC guy. I didn't play it or even take much interest in it aside from watching Angry Joes review. So I couldn't really comment on that, but as sad as this Battlefront is, I'm sure it isn't alone in ripping people off, I'll take your word for it with regards to Destiny.
