What u guys think? Should I join the SW speed dating!??!

https://www.starwarscelebration.com/en/Events/Star-Wars-Speed-Dating/

I could probably find a Jedi Master with a long Saber!

Or you could wind up with Yaddle.

I say go for it. It'd make for awesome conversation over a Freaks dinner.

Here's a couple questions I thought up of:

1. How long is your Saber?
2. What color is it?
3. How many times a week u think u whip it out to practice with it?
4. How strong is your Force?

What u guys think so far ?

You will do great Bam. With your personality you are the grail for those guys ! :hi5:

Grail.............

Man I am so on the fence. I want to pre-order it but....

I'll be right next to you then!

EDIT!!!
DUDE...THERES LASER TAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OOOHHH SNAP!!!!!

.... Squirrel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is gonna be great!!!

I decided.....I'm gonna where my Jedi Cloak...and have it cover half of my face.

What u think??? Sexy huh?

yeap... with nothing underneath :yess:

For the art prints, what were the typical price ranges at earlier Celebrations? There are a few I'd like to get and want to be sure I bring enough cash.

I have seen them range from $30 - $150.00

Expect Dorman and Sanda to be among the highest priced pieces.

I have the following in my sights so far:

And from my buddy Spencer his third in the Han Series...

I was thinking of running a raffle, collecting $1 per entry, in order to subsidize a Mark Hamill autograph which I probably cannot afford otherwise. The winner would have the opportunity to formulate my one question which I would then pose to Mark during my short autograph time.

What do you guys think?

So we enter to get you a auto ... LOL.

Oh, sorry. I just read it as a rumor in the chat during the past few days. So what's my best bet to be sure I can come away with the two prints I want? Still taking every suggestion I can get from the initiated.

If you want something, go in that direction as soon as you enter.

I personally don't think prints will be hard on the first day. Especially with almost all of them limited to 250 pieces.

I normally don't worry about it. But i do get it out of the way so I don't have to worry about it.

Good suggestions on the clothing and deodorant Shalamar. I will be looking for a keeled over Vader!

Gold Bond Powder... things rub together and get sweaty. Don't fool yourself !!!!

How much do the Sw prints usually run? I like a few. :lol

:lecture Check above. :lecture

This is what scares me, I've seen far too many people here and elsewhere mention the Treves print. I'm still going for another one first, but Treves will be my second stop. Still just very unsure, even though I will be in line very early Thursday, because some artists have taken unofficial reservations. I don't want to start out the convention with the wrong vibe, by missing the two prints I want. And believe me they are a priority, day one.

I've scrapped the raffle idea, figured there just would not be enough interest, and I'm going to suck it up and pay the fee for the autograph. That is as long as I secure the print I want first. Still looking around the collection for something to sell.

Getting close...

I am definitely gonna get the Yoda hat!!! It will match my xbox avatar! :lol

I mean...is there anything better I can spend $25 bucks on!! I think NOT! :lecture

I think you will be fine. No worries.

And one more bit of information which is frightening me. I was listening to the most recent Forcecast, and they mentioned the "gators" to watch out for around the convention center. Now I know it was mentioned in the Main Event guidelines, but I seriously thought it was a joke. The Forcecast seems to make it seem like more of a real threat. I lived in Florida for three years, and do remember scattered reports of attacks. Yikes.

I know if I'm out there alone at the beginning of the long wait, I may feel very uncomfortable. Hopefully there will be lots of other fans out and about to dissuade the gators from eating me.

Thank you, I keep hearing this everywhere, but I'm making it a top priority to secure these two prints, because after that is accomplished, I can relax pretty much the rest of the convention. It really is the only thing that I feel anxious about.

From the CV webpage:

PLEASE NOTE SCHEDULES ARE AS OF JULY 28 AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE

I'm going to check it over again, since it seems they have finally updated. :panic:

Gators like snacking on Ewoks, so just throw one of them their way and you'll be fine or an hour or so.

Question for the initiated. Mark Hamill is listed as Friday 2:30 - 3:30. I'm interested in the panel before as well. Are the rooms cleared between panels, as some are at SDCC?

I could honestly almost stay in the Celebration Stage room all day Friday.

It sucks trying to make a schedule for this show, not knowing if they clear the rooms, and because there are so many great panels. I've got tons of overlapping variations, and the editing is going to be horrendous over the next two weeks.

I just can't roll like Bam. :lol Have to know where I'm headed, but keep a back up too.

There are quite a few collecting panels I want to go to. I also want to check out the Hoth Ice Bar, McQuarrie's exhibit and the R2-D2 builder's area. :panic:

I have no fear of seeing all the permanent attractions like McQuarrie, the droid builders area, etc. But the panels that have limited seating and only go on for one hour are the problem. If you really want to see one of those, you have to gauge your time to be in line for them, or already in the room, or you're just out.

When should we head over for the Main Event Line? I was contemplating 11 PM.

6 AM Saturday? :lol

Actually, I haven't thought much about a time yet. Just the thought of having to do this makes me :panic: and also  that they didn't come up with a better way for a large portion of the attendees to see him.
