Is there even a highly limited item at the store this year? I know last time going to the store Thursday afternoon the only thing I couldn't get was the 3rd McQuarrie print. GG was a cluster, but I dont think it will be as bad this year, the only other really bad spot was Star Wars Shop(I think for GG animated boba). I dont think there are as many art collectors and trying to flip art can be really risky as it can be damaged way easier and even selling can be hard, as you well know after having people back out after the show.

People will want the Gentle Giant vintage Boba Fett 12". If it's any indication, the Stormtrooper was their only SDCC Exclusive that sold out of its allotment each day. Not even their McQuarrie Vader bust or the PAN'S or POTTER stuff did that.

I was planning on picking up the GG TESB Jumbo Fett on Thursday, but no way in hell am I racing grown men to a booth over a toy. No way. If its one of those deals I'll be fine with just waiting for the SW card.

Yeah , I just dont think they can ever top the demand for the Clone commanders.

The one you need to worry about is Brian's Toys. They pay a slew of people to just wait in lines and buy up exclusives as these shows.

Gentle Giant has actually lead the charge in cracking down on Exhibitors lining up before the shows open.

yeah they pissed me off at C4.

Ur signature sucks so much ballz. :lol

And stop being such a attendee gold digger.

Hmmm, I think I may need one to get me through C5.... Maybe with Trevas' Boba... wanna help a brother out :)

Trust me, 99% of the collectors will go straight to the lines for Hasbro, Gentle Giant or the Celebration Store. If prints are your #1 priority and you have a pass for Thursday the only thing that might prevent you from getting all those that you want will be the cost.

Listen to us old, grisled but whiley veterans. :lol

Yeah this is true. The alley was pretty easy to navigate when I got there... and I did that Animated Boba first !

yeah i think it's price killed it for me... I passed.

I am so ready for CV now. And by the time the show comes, I'll really be ready. I'm leaving this Thursday for a trip to the northeast for some R & R before the show. I'll be floating in a pool with a drink with an unbrella in it for 5 straight days before flying to Orlando. I'll be rested and ready to celebrate!

I think the only thing there'll be mass hysteria for this year is for Lucas himself. That "main event" will be mayhem (in a good way)!

I must say I'm really getting Star Wars fever again as CV draws near. I haven't been this excited about a SW event since the release of ROTS. Well maybe not quite as exciting as a new movie buts its pretty close. :rock

I'll be ready the night before the show. That's how I roll. :lol

I feel you. I think the party has helped boost my feelings about the even. I think happening right after SDCC has something to do with it too. Kinda a shadow over the event that is pretty hard to live up to (even though it is completely different).

Yeah....I've gotten comments comparing CV with SDCC....

Nothing is gonna be as big as SDCC.....so nothing should be compared to that con.

I'm excited about CV:

1. Cuz it's in Orlando....(so it's not far from me)
2. Cuz it's mother____ing Star Wars _____es!!!!!!!:rock:rock:rock

Speaking of Cons...

SDCC... then 3 weeks later, CV... then 3 weeks later, Dragon*Con.

Come September 6 I am going to be :thud:

It's all worth it, though. :rock

I've never been to a Celebration. Someday I will try but you can't compare it to SDCC. Just different animals. One is a pop culture con covering everything and one is a content specific con.
