SDCC, Celebration and Dragon*Con are all different... but each awesome in its own specific ways.

SD Comic-Con: Pop Culture Sensory Overload with a heaping side of Hollywood sauce

Celebration: Pretty much the ultimate SW events

Dragon*Con: A 4 day, 24/7 party con that's probably the most fun of them all for just hanging out with friends. Also the most elaborate and professional costumes. People literally fly from all over the world just to see and take pics of the craziness. Mardi Gras For Geeks, indeed. Like SDCC, all geeks should experience it at least once.

Yeah....I've gotten comments comparing CV with SDCC....

Nothing is gonna be as big as SDCC.....so nothing should be compared to that con.

I'm excited about CV:

1. Cuz it's in Orlando....(so it's not far from me)
2. Cuz it's mother____ing Star Wars _____es!!!!!!!:rock:rock:rock

I feel you. I feel that all times before it was in May. Which kind of set the season off... And that helped a lot. I know they are different, and to be real content is not as grand. I mean, no movie tie in, no clone wars, no live action. So surprises. Which is not great.

But like you said. It is the Wars !!!!!

Speaking of Cons...

SDCC... then 3 weeks later, CV... then 3 weeks later, Dragon*Con.

Come September 6 I am going to be :thud:

It's all worth it, though. :rock

Irish you hitting Dragon Con ?

Yeah, I'll be at Dragon*Con for sure. Every year. It's here in town and literally right down the street from my office, though we always stay at the host hotel all 4 nights (because it's that non-stop). I can't promise I'll be sober or even conscious most of the time, though. :lol

I have started helping to pack at least some stuff for CV:

holy cow. do you have to pay a licensing fee for that?

Only if you charge for the tattoo at CV (which of course the artists will be). By definition, whenever you make a profit off of a copyrighted or licensed image of any kind (yes, even a tat) you're supposed to get permission and/or pay licensing fees. And since this is an official SW convention right under the noses of Lucasfilm...

____ that...:lol I'll get my tat someplace else...some other time. :lol Underground tat.

:lecture:lecture:lecture Don't blame you at all. Just use the CV tat stuff to get an idea of what you really want (like that Boba Fett one) and go someplace else and get it done for half the cost and under a lot less stress (no need to worry about missing anything else, etc).
