I got a chance to talk to Irish Jedi a little at the party and he said on Wednesday, exhibitors were able to buy 2 at a time and were purchasing a pair and then getting back in line to purchase more. Total BS.

Some of the vendors had a couple they they had bought and wehre selling it for $200. Originally they where $85.

Oh...some of them even had signs that said... "Sell us your Gentle Giant Boba!"

These are all the reasons I stay away from GG now. I think I could have had a Boba on Saturday morning during the Lucas craze, but just said "no."

And, yes, the whole Gentle Giant Boba Fett thing was a total fiasco. I'm quite sure vendors purchased at least 75% of them. I was lucky enough to get one without much of a problem, but the whole thing still sucks and pisses me off, especially since most of you guys got screwed.

Seriously, there was a line of at least 20-30 people (pretty much all vendors) at the Gentle Giant booth each morning around 8:00.

How was that allowed to happen??? Vendors can't do that at SDCC.

I mean, it's not as if they even made the vendors wait in the line and for them to start selling at 9:30 or 10:00. They were actively selling them as early as 8:00 one day. I walked over there at 8:30 Thursday AM and there was a steady line of 20-30 people (looking at the badges, 95% vendors) so that's when I got in line to get mine. If I hadn't done that, I wouldn't have gotten one either. Ridiculous. I wish I could have gotten a few more for fellow Freaks. I heard that Friday AM they were selling even earlier and the limit was 2, but some vendors were getting in line multiple times. Inexcusable.

Yeah that makes no sense. Part of why I told myself I would not pursue any GG stuff at the con. I did not want to destroy my experience.
